Do wind turbines kill birds? Yes. And we do need to find a way to mitigate that. But outdoor cats are the overwhelming leader in causes of bird deaths.
The good that wind turbines will do for the environment, and by association birds, mitigates their unfortunate losses. We need to continue to work on and improve wind turbines’ avian safety, but acting as if they are bird Armageddon is wrong.
also please for the love of GOD keep your cats inside
Also! They found that painting a single wind turbine blade black could reduce bird fatalities by 72%, and it was most effective at reducing collision deaths for birds of prey.
And yes, keep your cats indoor unless tethered or on a catio.

May you receive a positive shift, unexpected blessings, inner peace and mental clarity before 2021.
🦃why you should skip the turkey🦃
250 million turkeys are killed per year in the United States alone, & 46 million of those are killed solely for Thanksgiving.
These are devastating numbers. And before they reach the slaughter house to be prepared to eat, they endure horrible lives in cramped & dirty conditions. As poults (babies), their beaks are cut off to ensure they will not peck each other to death in the stressful conditions they will be living in.
Turkeys are wonderful creatures & are friendly & deserve love & respect.
Here are some turkey facts.
🦃Turkeys are intelligent & show problem solving behavior
🦃Turkeys are social & affectionate & become attached to people
🦃Turkeys love meal time!
🦃Turkeys love to play!
🦃Male turkeys are called “gobblers”
🦃Turkeys have different sounds they use to communicate including purrs, gobbles, & yelps
🦃Turkeys can run up to 25 mph & fly up to 55 mph
🦃Turkeys can see better than humans
Turkeys are unique & lovely animals & should be protected as they are vulnerable creatures who deserve to live a happy, long life.
Turkeys don’t want to be on your Thanksgiving plate.

Anyone else with a history of self-harm that thinks they stopped when reaching adulthood ever have this realization that you never truly stopped? You're just doing it in a more "adult" way, just without any phsyical indicators this time? I know I'm sounding hella vague lmao but still
