TLDR; Two neurodivergent LGBT teens (17-me & 19-my brother) are trying to escape emotionally abusive and neglectful homes. We both have serious expenses we need help covering.
Feb. 4th; Hello, my name is R.G.. I am a neurodivergent trans/nonbinary 17 year old living with an emotionally abusive and neglectful alcoholic mother. My best friend, and my found family older brother, is also a neurodivergent LGBT teen in an abusive and neglectful home. We have been planning to move into an apartment together for over a year, but we do not have the funds. More information:
- My brother has a job, and I cannot get one because I do not have an ID. I cannot get an ID until my birth certificate and social security card are changed, which could take another few months. My brother does get paid, but it’s not enough for what we need to take care of.
- We both have various health expenses we need to take care of ASAP. My brother is currently at an urgent health care clinic because of an injury sustained during binding. He also has to take care of a cavity, and based on what the dentist told him it’s going to cost over a thousand. I have to make an appointment with a doctor for a very uncomfortable condition which has caused me to be unable to walk for periods of time the past three days. (This is something I have to go to a doctor to deal with since it will not go away on its own, otherwise I wouldn’t mention it). We both need to be able to pay for HRT, and need to be able to pay to start medication for our various mental health issues. Both of us are extremely unstable & suicidal.
- Other expenses we need to take care of include fixing my brothers car, as the tire fell off recently, buying clothes that fit, buying other necessities, and paying to take care of our pets.
- My brother and I both have pets (a dog, a cat, and two guinea pigs, one of which needs to be housed elsewhere) who we take care of. Other than the one guinea pig who needs to be housed elsewhere, we cannot part with our animals. They are some of the only things that bring us joy.
- I am in a GED class, which I cannot finish until I get an ID. I cannot attend it this week due to my condition, which has made it near impossible to travel anywhere.
- My father (who lives in a different state) has agreed to send me money when he can. Unfortunately, he is also dealing with a whole lot, and cannot support me enough to keep me safe.
- Today a man from CPS came to the house while my mother was at work. After every CPS visit, my mother verbally abuses me, gaslighting me and insisting that I am a liar who makes up abuse because I want to hurt her. She does this often, as well as other abusive things, but it is always worse after CPS shows up because she doesn’t want to be arrested. I’m scared to tell her that he showed up because I do not want to be screamed at or have things thrown at me.
- My mother has kicked me out of the house before. I have debated being homeless rather than staying here and giving her the chance to kick me out again, or more opportunities to abuse me. I would rather room with someone, but I cannot pay rent.
SERVICES I CAN PROVIDE (ALL PAY WHAT YOU WANT):
- I am a witch, and have been practicing tarot. I can do readings, as well as create sigils.
- I am also am artist; I draw, write short stories and poems, and music. Currently I cannot make music for money, but I will happily draw/write any sort of character, story, or poem, as long as I am comfortable. Here is my previous commissions post, with guidelines as to what I will and will not produce.
- If you are in the ATX area, and willing to provide transport if I cannot access your location via public bus, I am very good at & enjoy cleaning and would be more than happy to help with chores such as dishes, laundry, and general cleaning. I would also be happy to walk dogs/cats, or babysit children. Since it is difficult to move due to the condition I mentioned, I likely will not be able to provide this service within the next few weeks, but you can still ask if I am available.
