Please don’t ask me what it means to love someone because I would have to tell you it’s putting your heart on the line no matter what the risk is. It’s forcing yourself to go through an enormous amount of pain because the person you love doesn’t know how to express it to you in any other way. It’s pleading with them to just let you try to heal their pain so that they can stop projecting it onto you. It’s allowing yourself to get yelled at for things that weren’t your fault because you rather them take their emotions out on you than hold it inside and let it destroy them. It’s forcing yourself to walk away from them even though you love them more than anything in the world and locking any feelings you had for them away forever because they know you deserve better and they regret ever putting you through all the bullshit you went through together. It’s continuing to love someone even after you completely lost each other.
