This summer has been off to an amazing start.

I get to work in the lab Monday - Thursday, my classes are online and going well, plus I have finally started redefining who I am. I hope everyone is doing well themselves .!

june 4 2026

ive actually been quite busy this summer so far. i started my internship at the lab and its been quite an adventure. i have no idea how people are able to get nice aesthetic lab photos. the photo of writing on a paper towel is all i got.

im not sure if ive posted since before my birthday, but that happened and i am 19 now! excited to be 19. i think my goal for the year is to be bored more.

ive started a concerted effort to scroll less when bored or tired and to let myself just be. the hope is that creativity will spur from boredom. i was bored quite a bit as a child and that did lead me to either reading more or creating more.

ive also established a goal of watching 10 movies in june. ive watched 2 so far: amélie and blue velvet. my reading goal is 3 books, and im currently working my way through this is how you lose the time war.

hopefully i wont too much pressure on myself to be perfect with my goals bc then i will def give up but for the 3 days since ive decided to be more present with myself, i have felt a difference.

yesterday was so much fun ♡ finished up my matlab code and finally got my particle analysis workflow where i want it. also learned how to make a two-phase solution in lab (organic + aquaeous)

19.05.26 💐 officially done with half of my master's thesis! this week i'm taking a break from everything. things are moving very quickly right now, i will be done with my thesis sooner than expected, i've handed in my first job application and summer is coming. i'm still feeling fairly calm about it all but i really need this break to catch my breath! ♡♡♡
