legitimately though i am again astounded at the level of talent of SP fanartists and writers. i have 92 posts in my queue right now that are almost all fanart, a lot of stuff i remember liking back in the day but also a lot of stuff completely new to me and just BLOWS ME AWAY. i have never ever reblogged or consumed so much fandom content than i have while being a parkateer, and if anything in recent years i've avoided fandom content altogether for the things i'm interested in because i'm too stuck to my own tastes. that's hardly ever a problem for me with SP, admittedly it used to be and i'm sure there's still a lot of stuff out there Not For Me in multiple senses, but i really respect that, like... every artist's art is like a thumbprint, even if you're drawing the same thing it's going to be different based on your life experiences and tastes and skill, etc. that's just a general rule of art. and with SP that feeling is magnified 1000x, because there's inherent creative freedom with stylizing and portraying these characters... it's really nice to return to.
a lot of my art up to this point has been very "literal", i'm good at replicating other styles and chameleoning my own style--partially bc that's my job as a storyboard artist! but sometimes i get too in my head about preserving the "integrity" of the characters or series or legacies i'm drawing and don't feel i have as much room to experiment. with SP fanart, it essentially is ALL experimentation, ALL taking liberties, etc. i'm just really wowed by the breadth of everyone's abilities and interpretations, and even if there are some things that i personally may disagree with (talking more aesthetically rather than morally lol) i can appreciate it so much more now than i think i was once able to. lot of different thumbprints, so to speak. it's super inspiring!

It is simply not fulfilling to enjoy media in the height of its popularity. You need to show up so late to the party that everybody else is gone and the hosts are asleep so you can rummage through their trash for chip dip and stale hors d’oeurves to eat alone in the dark like a dirty little raccoon secret
Dude I need to get kissed by someone for 30 minutes romantic style *plays mitski*
This is the most comprehensive and impressive resource I've ever watched on transphobia. I think this is an especially important video for cis people to watch. The video is accessible and meant to be an educational tool for people who are confused by what the hell is going on right now. Every possible question you could have on trans issues is addressed in this video.
This pride month, if you want to help combat transphobia from your coworkers, friends, family, and so on, this is a very good educational resource to help you understand every aspect of transphobic rhetoric, policies, legislation, history - everything. It was made by a cis guy who drove himself crazy trying to figure out why everyone hates trans people, to the point that he dropped out of university to make this video. Given the global state of increasing anti-trans violence, I really strongly urge cis people to watch this video in full. It is an incredibly valuable resource and I cannot recommend watching it strongly enough.
Life for trans people is only becoming more horrifying, and I genuinely appreciate and respect every cis person who takes the time to watch this video, educate themselves, and understand the many fights ahead.
Reblogging cuz I want to watch this later.... dude.... fuck... yeah....
I found out a way to maximize studying fashion history, practicing drawing clothes and doing artfight ¡I'm going to draw mostly history based characters! Or if they are not inspired by history, I'm going to give them historically accurate (by my basic studies lmao) clothing. I love fashion history so much and I'm also so needy of getting good at drawing clothes... it's supposed to be my specialty, but I still feel pretty much deficient when I draw clothes.
I'm not interested in having top surgery (I just want HRT🥺), but dude.... seeing the results of the periaerolar surgery..... woah, I want that one.
Fuck yeah I finished another ref sheet. Two refs done out of the five I want to do. This one is of Amelia, an entomologist puppy girl who loves latinoamerican literature. Hehe I'm preparing for my first art fight!!!
Man im just doing bullshit
happy pride :D
THIS WAS SO GOOD AND CREATIVE. OMG 😭😭😭😭😭
happy pride month!! you're all valid and loved <33
overall, pride is resistance; and la resistance is basically a queer club
i'm sorry for disappearing, but in the meantime, i've graduated (with perfect scores, call me gregory of yardale lol) and got into university :33 now i'm back though, and gayer than ever haha
