Ok so in order to start off pride month (and since it has been a while) let's re showcase all of my queer head cannons, with a (jokey) edit at the end.

Do be aware it is mostly copied off of my last post cause I am lazy, just there is going to be some changes.

The plain churros(Aka the cishet ones):

Scott(he/him): in this head cannon, Scott had to come out as straight because Virgil had came out, and his parents suspected the others, so they just looked at Scott and went 'You must be teaching them this,'(in a supportive way ofc)while Scott was just like 'wtf'

Parker(he/him): honestly his job keeping lady penelope safe stops him from dating, but if he wasn't, he would like to think he would have a wife

Grandma Tracy(She/her): writing this, I realised that I made the oldest 3 members of iR straight, and I promise that was a accident 😅😅😅

The cis fruit loops (Aka the cis non hetro ones):

Virgil[gay{mlm}] (he/him): as you said, flannel, cuffed jeans, docs, and rolled up sleeves. 'Nuff said. Also, because he dresses like a homophobic straight man, 1. He sewed the gay flag (the mlm one) onto the shoulders of his flannel so people know that he isn't homophobic and 2. At Tracy industry stuff, girls are always flirting with him, and he just has to look at Scott while Scott tries not to laugh

John{Aro Ace}(he/him): I just looked at him and went, yea, no he's aro ace.

Brians{demisexual and demiromatic}(he/him): he just, gives off this energy, if you know what I mean

Lady penelope{bisexual}(she/her): a member of the britsh monarchy being LGBTQ+ just seems right, so here's lady Penelope.

The Trans fruit loops (aka the non cis gender and non hetro people):

Gordon{Pansexual/genderqueer}(all pronouns): I feel like Gordon would just be like "so I date pretty people, and I am a pretty person". Yea she's as brain dead as me.

Kayo{lesbian/demi-girl}(she/they): we both thought this, so need I say more. Also, she gives off mean-when-you-first-meet-them-energy-but-once-she-gets-to-know-you-they-are-actually-really-nice energy

Alan{Achillian[Aro-Ace spectrum]/transmasc enby}(he/they/moon/star/sun): I've got a timeline Alan of the cis-to-trans pipeline that you will probably find out somehow, who am I to judge how you find out.

I’ll start! I watched the F1 movie the other day (don’t judge me, I finally had the chance 😅) and I LOVED this song!

Omg this brought back so many memories it is insane, how the hell did I forget this song?

Anyways, for my contributions, may I suggest fame is a gun for if we get any ballroom scenes (as it seems very fitting)

And if we have any scenes with kayo and the hood together, then assassin would be so fitting

And idk where to put it, but we have to fit Do I wanna Know somewhere in there, especially the first line

Also as I think it would be funny, I want one of the boys to be jumpscared whilst listening to Sabrina carpenter, specifically a song with lots of innuendos (so I'm thinking either House Tour or 15 minutes)

We also never really see Alan with like, any friends outside of his family (other then Brandon), so if we do get to see him and his presumed other friends, I love for it to have Meet me at our spot in the background

I'm assuming this is in place of the long reach episodes, so if that's the case I desperately need to see them explore the legacy Jeff left with Scott, especially with the parentification of Scott with his younger siblings. For this I would love First time on earth to soundtrack this, although eternity would also be a suitable choice. And they would be giving Alex Warren so much money, but the outside would also be a top 3 choice to have somewhere on the soundtrack.

Continuing the thought of Jeff's legacy, crown would genuinely be a devastating choice for a song, especially with how many people must idolize Jeff.

I'm gonna stop there, but know I can probably think of at least 5-10 more songs if ITV ever need to reach out.

if you could sit down and finish any one of your wips without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), which fic would you choose? tell us about it if you want!

Without a doubt it would be Tomorrow’s Hope (YP sequel!). I’ve got all of the big arcs planned and a bunch of character notes. I (mostly) know who’s making it to the end and who’s not so lucky. I know which ships are endgame. There are playlists for set scenes and AHHHH. I literally have an entire word doc that takes me nearly 10 minutes to scroll through and a notebook dedicated to it. So much of it has been planned since before I finished YP so there’s a lot of foreshadowing in there that I can’t wait for you guys to realise tie into the sequel. There are some surprises in there and some obvious ones.

if you were to write a part two/sequel to a fic, what fic would you want to write it for?

I know I answered this one before with you are not alone (you are not unknown) but I’d also like to write more for my college era series that I started during Inktober a few years ago. I love writing those versions of John and Virgil <3

if you were to rewrite Yesterday’s Promise from any other character’s perspective how do you think it might change?

Ooh okay fun fact time - YP was originally going to be written from Alan’s perspective. It would have looked very very different (but just as dark). There are scenes I know happen with Alan ‘off-screen’ during YP that are Traumatic (capitalisation throughly deserved) and while they wouldn’t have changed the tone of the piece it would definitely shift the focus from the zombies to humanity in the apocalypse (or lack of humanity I suppose). It would be interesting to explore Alan’s perspective of certain scenes (you know that boy was trying to protect his brothers just as much as they wanted to protect him) especially in the latter parts. Alan in the Sanctuary arc means so much to me and it’s so easy for most of his actions to seem completely unhinged because we only get to see Scott’s perspective. Also it just would have been fun to write more scenes with Finch because she is 100% Alan’s dog no matter how much she loves the whole family!

Time for shameless self promo oops. I’ve got an original novel that I’m on like the 50th draft of right now but I have NO ONE to talk about it with so I’m gonna ramble for a second. It’s set in a partly dystopian future (society is beginning to collapse but it’s not there yet) which really isn’t a surprise to anyone because it’s me. The main character is an angsty, chaotic teenager (I love him dearly) who is a complete sweetheart and just keeps trying to make everyone happy while everything falls apart around him. Also featuring: accidentally falling in love with your best friend, why breaking into government property isn’t necessarily the best idea, complicated family dynamics and a dog (because there’s always got to be a dog). I will stop yapping now haha

Now he's back on Tracy Island and resumed command of International Rescue. The series finished on a cliffhanger leaving millions of fans new and old hanging... A few years have passed and were still talking about.. It's time for a new season.... theres still a lot of story to tell and adventures to sink our eyes into.

Gaidhlig and Scots become official languages in Scotland today with the Scottish Languages Act coming into force after it was voted on back in June.

Key parts of the legislation includes the right for parents to request Gaelic schools for their local area, and will help with standardisation of language teaching across the board.

Good signs for the future. In the future would be very interested to see parents (and everyone else) getting access to the same learning materials so they can learn alongside their kids.

This post is about how ostensibly progressive white people will clutch pearls and moralize about not listening to rap or engaging with black art or culture because it seemingly condones drugs, or violence, or is overly sexual, while having no issue with those topics in other, non-black contexts. There are conversations to be had about the topics surrounding this but in the meantime the original post is One Sentence and I'm not convinced most of the commenters in the past few days even read it.
