Not to be a bitch but sometimes people engage with fiction in the most boring way possible, and nowhere is this clearer than in videogames. Like what you mean you hate a character just because they were kind of abrasive when speaking to the player character? "They were mean to me" and it didn't occur to you to wonder why? Like, what might their attitude toward you reveal about the world? About the social dynamics within it? About their own perspectives and backgrounds and personalities? Does it even occur you to ask? Would you only have liked them if they bowed to your presence and talked about how great you are? Like I'm sorry but you're so boring. How boring fiction would be if it cathered to you
Likely one of the funniest things we will get from the extremely late-to-the-party among us show
i feel like there is a sleep in me that needs to be slept but each time i sleep i don't sleep that sleep
Biggest fuck-up ever is that people have to pay to become doctors
Like unironically we should be subsidising at least 50% of their educations. What do you mean we have a shortage of doctors we should have surplus. What do you mean theyāre being overworked they should be treated like royalty, they can fix human bodies
I donāt care if some of them are only doing it for the money. I donāt care if all of them are only doing it for the money. Intentions donāt matter to the stitches in my nanaās leg or the ten billion other lifesaving treatments we all get at a detriment to their finances and mental wellbeing. Entire cities are kept alive by just a couple thousand of them what are we DOINGGGGG
If we had more, maybe it would be easier to get the shitty ones fucking replaced. The board isn't going to do much to the only endocrinologist in the state who takes Medicaid, you know? But if there were more than, idk, maybe 5? Maybe then?
More importantly if you needed less money and less physical stamina to become a doctor, people with less money and less physical stamina could become doctors, which would increase diversity and improve patient care.
fucking finally
Finding out Hans Zimmer is a transphobe genuinely had me falling to my knees
Thank you blastybaku for explaining this!/gen
If you've ever heard a movie score and thought "holy shit, this is incredible", there's like, a 50% chance it was Hans Zimmer who composed it.
This is a pretty major letdown, ngl.
Anyways, fuck transphobes, which includes Hans Zimmer, apparently.
Anyway shoutout to John Williams, amazing composer and probably the one who made the other 50% of "holy shit amazing" soundtracks (Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Superman, and incidentally the original Harry Potter theme and score) who famously worked closely with the first openly transgender woman to be nominated for an Academy Award, Angela Morley. He respected her, and so far as I can see, has never made transphobic remarks.
PLEASE SUPPORT A DISABLED HOMELESS LESBIAN
please help me. iām a disabled lesbian who has been surviving on the streets since the beginning of the year. iāve been forced to turn to sex work to keep my basic needs met but the men are disgusting and treat me like shit and i still spend most nights camping in garbage enclosures and eating scraps that the local food places throw me. iāve applied for section 8 and community housing but i already know that iām going to be on the waitlist for a bit. i just want to take a shower and have a roof over my head for a few nights without having to sleep with someone to do so. if you have anything you can spare, please consider sending it my way. every little bit helps. iām sorry for not posting more frequently, my body feels like itās falling apart and the walk to the library is getting harder and harder on me. please keep this post circulating in my absence. thank you for reading

Next time transphobes call trans healthcare "experimental" you can show them this
penicillin was first discovered in 1928; vaginoplasty is less experimental
ibuprofen was first discovered in 1961; phalloplasty and HRT are less experimental
Adderall was first applied as an ADHD treatment in 1994; puberty blockers are less experimental
