Ngl I do wish more radfems played.. I don't want you say "real" games because of course Pokemon and AC are real and I also enjoy them from time to time, but you know, more "masculine" games? Shooters, open world, brawlers, exploration, competitive, etc. games. These games are heavily male dominated and I wish more women were into them, it can feel incredibly lonely and alienating being part of their communities/fandoms and not having another woman to talk about it with (be it seriously or for the memes), and to play with. I would love to play with other radfems but all the gamers here are only into entry level stuff and it's kinda sad for me, like most don't even have a Steam account. I know many don't get into said games because of how male infested they are in the first place, but if many women got into them en masse and we had each other to support I think it'd really tip the scale, plus it'd encourage others who want but are too scared to finally give them a try as well.
.
I play Ark if that's one you're into!
I usually join up in the survival based games that aren't mostly about guns or cars, so like Conan exiles, the Isle, Ark, etc. The sheer amount of men in them are still a lot but I've started meeting more and more women
"What's with this mentality that "if you're a virgin you can't have an opinion on sex" as if PIV is the only thing that matters when discussing it? Oral, touching, and many other ways to get sexual exist, and hell, many choose to remain virgin still BECAUSE of the things their partners made them go through/perform but managed to stop short of PIV, so why can't they talk about their experiences and what they were subjected to as well? It's so narrow minded, can't believe so many hold that take."
Oral sex is sex and I thought we were meant to be more critical of the heternormative standards of PIV as the only real sex. You're not a virgin if you regularly engage in sexual activities. Just because you don't do PIV doesn't make you a virgin.
.
I... I mean, after reading the purity myth I thought modern feminists had collectively decided to stop defining virginity as "intact hymen" and start defining it as "absence of sexual experience" since, like nonny said, we've moved away from defining piv as the only "real" way to have sex.
That's what I mean if I say virgin. The hymen is bs, a virgin just has never had any sexual experience (rape doesn't count as experience either)
The hint that âautogynephiliaâ is some TERF bullshit is
no equivalent slur exists for gay trans men
Thatâs because the same transmisogynists & misogynists who think it exists are the same folks whoâd never question why anyone would want to be a man
autogynephelia isn't a slur
Actually, het attracted transmen get called fujos and aidens.
Autogynephilia isn't a slur, it's a term of a paraphilia. The other version is called autoandrophilia. So, there is a version for trans men.
Too many radfems who are anti-furry. I mean, as a furry I'm fine with being anti furry because you think its cringe that's cool but theres too many women who will look at minors who like to draw humans with wolf heads and emo hair and genuinely think that it's a fetish because they think all furry stuff is a fetish. Sure for a lot of furries it's a fetish thing but I wanna be able to post my normie furry art in a radfem discord without being told that a fully clothed coyote girl literally just sitting there is nsfw >:(
.
Saaame. I don't publicly post my furry stuff, only privately in a discord, but there's so many that think it's a fetish for everyone. A lot of furries like the cute costumes and art only, mainly the kids and normal women like that side
Hi! I live your blog and I have a question for you: do you think it's possible for asexual lesbians to exist? Cause I know for a fact that I'm not attracted to men and am definitely attracted to women, but anytime a girl wants to take it further than kissing I kinda just. Dont? Like I feel like theres something wrong with me at this point bc I just do not want to have sex, maybe ever. Is this just me having a low sex drive? Like idk. I've fallen in love before but it's never been based on wanting to sleep with the girl ove fallen for. Anyways feel free to ignore this!
i guess it depends on how you define asexual. i think lesbians with low/no sex drive exist, but if by asexual u mean ânot attracted to either sexâ then no.
i donât know about the specifics of your situationâ but do you not want to do *anything* or is it certain sexual acts that youâre put off by? is this consistent? do you think thereâs anything underlying that like fear, trauma, insecurity, etc? has this always been the case (eg: some lesbians have low sex drives bc of being on anti-depressants so if that applies to u that may be playing a role)?
either way, itâs ok to not want sex! maybe thereâs something more underlying it or maybe thatâs just how you are, idk for sure, but i hope you arenât too hard on yourself over it and i hope it hasnât caused problems in your past relationships
Imo, if you're attracted to women you're not asexual. You could be low libido/disinterested in sex or something else that puts you off sex, but you're still attracted to women. Asexual is actual entire lack of attraction. No men, no women, nothing
Isn't the term for lesbians that don't wanna have sex a bambi lesbian?
im just not entirely sure mythology states that loki is pansexual
The only thing mythology states is that Loki's a horse fucker
Pansexual's definition is "likes everything" which includes animals. So, yes Loki is pan. As is Zeus đ¤
letâs settle this shit but do NOT reblog if youâre gonna be modest about it like a little BITCH. anyway privilege check tell me which ones apply to you: hot, funny, can dance, can do math, can spell, can drive, can cook
All but can dance xD
Iâm not sure what happened to my last post, but with abortion propaganda going around a lot more now, I think itâs important to show just how small an embryo is.
This is from my pregnancy. I was 7-8 weeks pregnant, gestational age. Fetal age would have been about 6 weeks. Itâs smaller than a dime. The first trimester (First 12 weeks) is when 90% of abortions take place. 60% of abortions happen in the first 9 weeks by gestational age.
So about 90% of abortions look something like this, give or take. Not like those misleading propaganda pictures which show mini babies at 7-8 weeks, huh?
This is what people are willing to take a fundamental right of bodily autonomy away from people over. This is what people feel is worth making rape victims suffer over and letting women get trapped in abusive relationships over. This is what people are willing to risk lives, safety, health, and overall well being of women and children over.
And thatâs just fucking ridiculous.
"A history of sleeping with or dating men does not mean someone is straight or bi." - i really have to disagree with this ESPECIALLY now in 2020. There's a case to be made for previous generations I suppose but imo anyone born after idk like 1985 (and in a western country) I really don't think this explanation holds up in an era of tolerance, acceptance, and laws changing in our favour.
I think you are wrong. Laws donât change religion, family dynamics, cultural traditions, or attitudes. Lesbians are still very much raised surrounded by straight being the âhealthy defaultâ. What is celebrated as normal is to find a  ânice manâ and get married and have kids. This is still very much the societal expectation. It is not really the fault of society, statistically, most people will be straight. The whole âfind a nice manâ crap is bullshit for any sexual orientation but yet, it is still held up as the ideal. Â
You canât just pick a random year âidk like 1985âł as the year that âTADA. it is great to be gay!â. It does not work that way. Young gay men are still called âf%^gotsâ by their peers. Young lesbians are still sexualized and demeaned for liking women. Butches are told they are predators or âmanlyâ. Young femmes are told they are âtoo pretty to be lesbiansâ.  I raised many kids and still have one in school. She takes crap every day for âdressing like a boyâ or âwanting to be a manâ.. she is not trans nor sees herself as GNC.. she just likes boys clothes and short hair. (guilty by default I guess). Â
I am active with an LGBT youth and adult support center and in lesbian mentor circles and on line, and trust me, what you think about âthings changing in our favourâ is wrong. Dead wrong. If you are lucky enough to have zero backlash for your orientation or presentation or maybe you are just THAT strong to avoid that bullshit seeping into your brain, kudos to you and congratulations on privileges few of us have. Â
I have raised foster kids who were kicked from middle class homes for being gay or being to âgirly for a boyâ. It is disgusting but reality.Â
I lived in a time when it was dangerous to be out. (or could be) and many of my friends lived when it was down right illegal to be same sex attracted. I can tell you.. laws do not change attitudes nor stop families (and random strangers) from letting us know they think our natural attraction is wrong or perverted. Many kids, internet access or no, are isolated from real life Lesbian role models. I get Facebook and Tumblr messages, and now some on Tiktok, telling me they know no older butches IRL or any lesbians of any age. I can tell you, as someone that looked my entire childhood to see older women like me, that missing piece can cause us to mistrust our own feelings and act in opposition to what we really need to be happy.Â
So call it Comp Het or call it societal influences or call it âtrying to fit itâ or call it internalized homophobia, but dating, having sex with, marrying men is something many young lesbians do because they mistrust the feelings they have since they have no life model to go by. Or possibly, they are well aware of their same sex attraction but have been told it is ânot realâ or a âPhaseâ or âgirl crushes are normal.. it will go awayâ or perhaps they fear loss of safety, home, family and security and they hope ( or try to believe) that if they try hard enough, they can learn to be happy in a heterosexual role.Â
I would urge you to have some sympathy, to look at the lives of others not in your bubble or echo chamber and see that not everyone has an easy path to discover or live their true passionate best lesbian life. I wish they did, and I am doing my part to be visible and out to help those who need to see their future in a real life lesbian.Â
I added some plants from Sashas viv to the tanks, we'll see how they do! The variegated pothos has been established for a while though.
Why are they sticking out of the tank like that? Will they eventually root and grow leaves underwater?
Pothos and tradescantia easily root in water but aren't aquatic. There's a little node or two probably under the water a few inches, the plants will grow roots from there that reach down. The leaves stay above the water. Think of the water line here like the soil line, the water is the dirt and air is, well, air. Underwater plants are different, water to them is like air to us, and the dirt/gravel under the water is their dirt.
i just think if human sexuality was really based on hearts not parts then statistically there should be an equal number of same-sex couples as straight couples? if everyone on earth really could fall in love with either sex đ¤
you would think. it's almost as if sexual attraction is based on something inherent and readily observable. it's almost like that attraction is immutable. huh
Itâs so sad that pansexuals took âhearts not partsâ from the intersex community. It had such a positive kind message of body positivity before, but now itâs just used to vilify other bisexuals as perverts with no heart. Or worse a sinister way to coerce gay men and lesbian women to give the opposite sex a chance by using positive language.
If you search the phrase you get a whole lot of obnoxious pink yellow and cyan in your face. But itâs originally the intersex communityâs slogan. For example the campaign #fixheartsnotparts is an advocacy group against unnecessary genital âcorrectionâ surgeries for intersex people. This is where the slogan actually comes from before it was appropriated to shame others sexualities. Have a read of the article and maybe spread some positive intersex awareness. đ
Fix Hearts, Not Parts â Intersex Awareness
I didn't know the backstory for this phrase- that's really interesting! thank you so much for sharing this!

ur one of the only real onesâ¤ď¸
is it time for frank cho and milo manara to die or what
Thatâs basically a naked woman Iâm YELLING
What a pervert. What the FUCK does he not know how clothes work? What the hypothetical fuck is she wearing then if we can see all that?
Itâs like how bath towels in comics miraculously wrap completely around breasts. Or how even when injured and dead on the ground women in comics have to be twisted into âsexyâ poses. Or how women in comics walk like theyâre in high heels even barefoot.Â
Itâs the only way men know how to draw women, because to them female characters are only there to be sexy. They only think of âwomenâ as exploitative costumes and camera angles, high heels and titillation. Sex objects to ogle, plot objects to further male heroesâ narratives and drama, not heroes to cheer for.Â
Iâm sorry, I was labouring under the impression that this was the crowd that thought women should wear what they want..?
And that applies to fictional women who are depicted by men how? You canât apply agency in the plot to something metatextual when it comes to fictional characters.Â
Come on, letâs not pretend this is a male exclusive thing.
Weâre going to have this argument are we? Not to mention youâre deviating from the original point that attributing agency to fictional charactersâ clothing is asinine.Â
What you have here are images of power, and do you really believe these characters are designed with titillating heterosexual women and bisexual and homosexual men in mind? Because I donât think you do.
This is why the Hawkeye Initiative exists. Take common female poses in comics, put a man in the role, and see how âempoweringâ and âstrongâ it actually looks:Â
Also:Â
He got the painting for fighting against âcensorship.â Note that they handed him a gross design of a female being objectified, because at the end of the day, that is all they really want, to be allowed to objectify women. They donât care about censorship in general it is about their ability to sexualise and degrade women without consequence.
You can see her butthole for chrissakes
I think the best imagery Iâve seen to explain the difference between what men think male objectification is vs what women actually want to see is the Hugh Jackman magazine covers.
Hugh Jackman on a menâs magazine. Heâs shirtless and buff and angry. Heâs imposing and aggressive. This is a male power fantasy, itâs what men want to be and aspire to - intense masculinity.
Hugh Jackman on a womenâs magazine. He looks like a dad. He looks like heâs going to bake me a quiche and sit and watch Game of Thrones with me. He looks like he gives really good hugs.
Men think women want big hulking naked men in loin cloths which is why they always quote He-Man as male objectification - without realizing that He Man is naked and buff in a loin cloth because MEN WANT HIM TO BE. More women would be happy to see him in a pink apron cutting vegetables and singing off-key to 70s rock.
Men want objects. Women want PEOPLE.
This is the first time I have EVER seen this false equivalence articulated so well. Thank you.
doesn't mod s call herself a feminist? she can't be muslim and a feminist, islam is a male dominated religion, women have to be constantly oppressed. it's disgusting how muslim women are treated
Well, first of all, Iâm use they/them, but thanks so much for misgendering me!
You wanna talk about how Muslim women and and woman-aligned people are treated? Fine, we can talk about that.
We can talk about how the Quran was revealed in 632 AD, saying how women are equal to men. (âAnd their Lord responded to them: ââŚbe you male or female - you are equal to one another.ââ [Quran 3:195])
We can talk about how in the 16th century, western men were still debating if women had souls.
We can talk about how in 632, the 1st century, Muslim women had the rights to choose who to marry, to divorce, to work, to educate and be educated, to have their won inheritance, to their own land and property, to have their own businesses, to participate in combat, to half their husbandâs wealth, to have their own opinions, to have custody of their children, and on and on and on.
We can talk about Muslim womenâs right to have a voice in government. Tell me, when did the USA give (white) women âequal participation in the political process,â or voting? 1920. Muslim women have had that since 632.
We can talk about how Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, and Senegal have all had female Presidents or Prime Ministers. How 1/3rd of Egyptâs parliament is female. How in the lovely USA, we havenât even had a women vice-president yet.
We can talk about the hijab, niqab, abaya, and burqa, how theyâre mainly worn to protect women from leering men, and to allow women to interact freely in public without people being able to judge their bodies or looks and only having their minds and personalities to make judgements off of.
We can talk a out how the Western world has twisted our clothing into âwomen have to cover up because theyâre indecent!â and women and feminine-presenting people get attacked and have their coverings yanked off, either because of Islamophobic hatred or misguided attempts at saving us.
We can talk about how Iâve had my hijab ripped off twice, both times by white men, once outside my communityâs masjid (the Muslim place of worship.) And oddly enough, my clothing didnât stop me from breaking one of those menâs noses when he went after my sister. Just like itâs never stopped me from going to school, or playing sports, or doing anything a white woman or woman aligned person could do.
We can talk about how outside of the masjid, where men and women are required to cover their heads, Iâve never once been made to wear a hijab.
We can talk about how the only people who have lectured me about dressing modestly were non-Muslim teachers and other educators.
We can talk about how people want to preach about how Muslims think women are indecent, when western schools freak out when a girl shows her shoulders.
We can talk about my cousin who once made a joke about women belonging in the kitchen and how out of thirty people in the room, the only person who laughed was his white friend. How his father immediately corrected him.
We can talk about how the first university ever, the University of al-Qarawiyyin, was founded in 858 by Fatima al-Fihri, a Muslim woman. How despite that, the summer I was thirteen and taking extra courses at the community college, an instructor praised me for joining even though âI know Muslim parents donât let girls have higher education.â I had to look her in the eyes and ask who she thought was paying for my classes.
We can talk about the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.a.w.) who denounced all forms of enslavement of women, and assisted women in issuing their rights to exist freely.
We can talk about people who rush to condemn Muslim men for hurting the âdefenselessâ girls, then turning around and making jokes about raping and hitting women.
We can talk about the âsaviors of Muslim women,â talking about how theyâre so oppressed, they donât get to make their own choices.
We can talk about how these people completely ignore anyone who says theyâre wrong and call them brainwashed. Because of course millions of women have been coerced into believing in a tradition that views them as subservient, what other explanation is there?
We can talk about how patronizing and infantalizing this is, how it denies Muslim women and woman aligned people agency and puts our âsaviorsâ on a pedestal. âWe need to be their heroes! Because obviously they canât fix their problems without the aid of white people!â
We can talk about how itâs true that Muslim women suffer from misogyny. How there are Muslim men who think of women as lesser, how some Muslim women are forced to cover themselves and marry. Because guess what? There is no culture that is exempt from misogyny and sexism, gender discrimination is a problem everywhere. But you cannot call an entire culture and religion inherently misogynistic, that is in no way true.Â
We can talk about how somehow thereâs this incredibly untrue idea that Western cultures have âprogressed forward, and sexism doesnât exist here, only in other countries and cultures.â
We can talk about how if people want to help Muslim women, all that is needed is for them to listen to us and follow our lead.
We can talk about how Muslim women and woman aligned people do not need white people to save them. We have always been capable of helping ourselves.
There are a lot of conversations to be had about the treatment of Muslim women, if itâs something you want to discuss.
But the thing is? People who talk about how oppressed Muslim women are generally donât.
You want a deflection from your misogyny, âYou think Iâm bad! You should see how Muslim girls are treated.â You want an excuse for your Islamophobia, âWe need to criticize Islam, they treat women awfully!â You want justification for western imperialism, âThese wars are necessary! We need to save the poor girls!â
You donât care about Muslim women and women aligned people.
Stop pretending like you do.
- Mod S
This is the third goddamn time Iâve seen this heaping pile of bullshit on my mainâs dash. It has 14,400 notes. Fourteen thousand notes for this apologia for an ideology promoting misogyny, gendered violence, and rape. Progressive and Feminist⢠website tumblr dot com will genuinely rush to the reblog button for any post that presents Islam as a cuddly and cute religion that is great to women.
Like, where the fuck do I even begin? How do you respond to something so removed from reality? Mohammed denounced all forms of female enslavement? He owned sex slaves. And raped them, unless yâall feminists want to argue that slaves gifted to a foreign warlord can consent to sex with him. Slaves such as Maria the Copt, who bore Mohammedâs last child, Ibrahim, who died in infancy. But hey, letâs be fair to the guy, he was just practicing what he preached. The Quran explicitly allows men to rape their slaves, regardless of whether they are married or not (more than once). Not that itâs a big deal. I mean, there are no Islamists today who keep sex slaves and rape them, right?
But Mohammedâs era was a long time ago. Muslims in the modern era are far less misogynistic, as OP kindly points out. For example, Egypt, a fucking military dictatorship, has women (15% not 1/3) in its pointless parliament, which exists solely for show. And, like, hello? Benazir Bhutto? Who succeeded her father Zulfikar as Pakistanâs PM before being murdered? Clear proof of Islamâs long history of female rulers. (All⌠nine⌠of them?) Only a fool would describe the feminist paradise of Pakistan as in any way oppressive to women. Why, it is practically Scandinavia. OP has a solid point here. Kind of weird how the presence of female rulers = feminism for those countries, though, but women being queens ruling entire empires in Europe gets reduced to âin the 16th century, western men were still debating if women had soulsâ (thatâs actually a myth and not even from the right time period but thanx 4 playing)
OP has an even more solid point when they say that Muslim women have had the right to vote since the 7th century, because the expansionist (dare I say imperialistic?) caliphate was obviously known for its universal suffrage and female leadership. (I mean⌠is this a serious post? Is this something that OP truly believes? Really?) And as OP suggests, Islam gave women many rights that they didnât have before, like the ability to own businesses and inherit money. Whatâs that, you say? Mohammedâs first wife, who was his boss before Islam, was able to do all that in pre-Islamic Arabia with no apparent issue? Well, uh, she doesnât count. Life was very terrible for women before Islam. Islam fixed great oppression. Just, uh⌠just trust me on that. I mean, doesnât a religion that explicitly states that a woman is worth half a man in both legal and monetary terms speak for itself? Itâs called feminism, Brenda, look it up.
And the Quran. The Holy Quran. OP says that 3:195 states that women and men are equal. It does not. It simply says that one comes from the other. In fact the Quran specifically says that men are above women and that men are in charge of women and women deserve to be beaten if they are disobedient, an ayah that I will now quote word for word from fucking quran.com:
Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husbandâs] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand.
But remember, kids, you canât call an entire religion sexist! Why? I donât know, OP makes the rules, not me.
And you have to appreciate OPâs desperate attempt to turn criticism of Islam into a guilt-inducing rant about imperialism. Because there are no white Muslims, of course. And because all critics of Islam are white, and because there are no critics of Islam from Muslim countries. All criticism of Islam is due to Western imperialism. There are no ex-Muslims. And there is certainly no history of Islamic imperialism. Listen and repeat. Feel that guilt? Good. Now reblog this defense of a religion you know nothing about. Ahh⌠much better. Guilt: relieved.
But hey, letâs chill out for a second and back up here. OP says that theyâre free to do whatever they want and so there is no misogyny in Islam and any women or girls suffering under Islamic rule are just the victims of random guys being awful, it has nothing to do with Islam itself. I mean, women are literally forced to wear hijab in a theocracy based entirely on Islamic law, but it has nothing to do with Islam. Just listen to OPâs soothing words and let the guilt flow over you, then press the reblog button.
(PS: shoutout to the âIslam invented universitiesâ myth that weâre all taught in first grade, which is, of course, false; the Moroccan university is the oldest university still in existence, if one considers early madrasas to be âuniversitiesâ, not the first one to exist by a thousand years or so. The first woman did not graduate from al-Qarawiyyin until the twentieth century, btw; it was funded by a woman but none could attend for centuries. How liberating!)
Dormant Predators
This is why I have this. Even if they can get the lock opened they canât push the door open. Got it at Lowes for $20.
reblog for that last bit to save a life
If youâre like me and have a large gap under your front door (someone could take a stick and just poke the leaning stick style door jam out), I recommend the Addalock. Itâs small, perfect for traveling, and this lock is CRAZY. Itâs so simple but the door does not move.
You canât see it from the other side, either. It also cost about $20, and I canât recommend it enough. Easy to travel with, too! Great for Air BnBs!
Thatâs why I have these on my doors. They get drilled into the side and once its flipped over the door nothing is getting it open. Not the door being unlocked nothing, Iâve unlocked the door and pulled and pushed as hard as I could and it didnât budge. When I go on a trip this is what I use and when Iâm home I leave it on too. No one is getting in here.
Okay I know that it is necessary for many but what do you do if you need medical attention and youâre not able to open the door from the inside? Can the fire department get through these at least? Â
Yes. The fire department can and will break down your door if necessary, itâs one of the reasons they have axes; itâs entirely possible for door frames to melt/expand/seize or otherwise become unopenable during a house fire but the door itself can be hacked down. Or the window. In rare cases, the wall. Firefighters donât fuck around with collateral damage when lives are at stake.
Sharing for all the safety items!!
Informative. Please share!
With regards to the fireman thing, have you seen a Hannigan bar? Itâs a four or five foot crowbar with a Daggered sledge on the other end. If the fire department wants in, theyâll get in.
âIf the fire department wants in, theyâre getting inâ is both reassuring and terrifying all at once.
