"denk mal drüber nach" underrated German phrase fr
saw an old-ish (20 years maybe?) entirely unassuming car parked somewhere today and it had a sticker on it that said "driven by choice, not because of budget" and like. can't stop thinking abt it. new type of guy to me. "please do not mistake me for someone who can't afford a newer car". okay.
yknow its interesting how something can impact one demographic in a completely different way than everyone else. in the exorcist when the demon starts speaking in greek, to most people its creepy. but if youre greek and you suddenly start hearing the demon speak perfect fucking greek its genuinely the biggest scare of the movie. you just do not expect to ever hear your language in american movies so it catches you so badly off guard, it feels like the movie is talking directly to you
the first time my dad saw it, it was with his american friends. and when she started speaking greek he turned to one of them and was like "re malaka did you hear that in english?"
You ever think about many peices of media have zero women and thats just perfectly normal but if a peice of media has an all female cast people get... like that? Women should be allowed to kill over this btw

im getting really tired of having to say "no, no one has ever said 'trans men don't experience transphobia because they're men', we're saying that they dont experience 'misandry' or 'androphobia' because those aren't real. men aren't oppressed because they're men, if men are oppressed it's because of other systemic issues like racism or ablism or, yes, transphobia. trans men are oppressed on the basis of being trans, not on the basis of being men. transandrophobia is not real and was coined by a detrans nazi twerf and the movement itself is transmisogynist in nature. denying this, ignoring the systemic abuse of trans women, and creating a repeat of gamergate mra movements is not 'fighting against transmasc erasure'. you're just fucking sexist."
only for people to constantly interpret that as me saying "trans men have never experienced transphobia ever, because they're men. i hate all trans men"
The 72-year-old British actor also had roles in shows including Merlin and Little Britain.
British actor Anthony Head, best known for his roles in TV shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ted Lasso, Merlin and Little Britain, has died at the age of 72. Head found international fame as Rupert Giles in hit supernatural teen show Buffy in the late 1990s. He went on to have a recurring role in sketch show Little Britain, play king Uther Pendragon in the BBC's Merlin, and appear as former football club owner Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso. "He passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family," his daughters Emily and Daisy said. His daughters' statement said "it is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our extraordinary father". They added: "It has been, and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many." They also said they knew "how dearly he will be missed by friends, colleagues and fans of the show he was in", adding that he "loved his job very much" and "always considered himself incredibly lucky". His family acknowledged that "his legacy will live on" and said they considered themselves "lucky" to have watched him doing what he loved throughout his career. Head's other credits included The Iron Lady, Persuasion, The Inbetweeners and Manchild.
RIP anthony head, you will be missed.
awww the like button turns into a rainbow when you press it! that's so cute...hey staff what's with all the trans women you keep nuking?
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
would be remiss not to mention that the rainbow notably straight up just removed the trans flag colors from it. like they’re gone. it’s the progress flag minus the trans flag colors.
that’s not the whole flag, now is it
hey staff what the fuck
hey staff don't you think you're being too on-the-nose
HEY STAFF DONT YOU THINK YOU'RE BEING TOO ON-THE-NOSE
Fuuuck I just loss 20000 dollars in adverisement revenue and potential sales when that guy over there didn’t look at my flyer because he was talking to the girl he was walking with. The sensible option here is to ban talking while walking since it’s literally theft.
got a new pair of glasses bc mine were super banged up and as the only three options were black, grey, or brown glass I went with black but as many are probably aware "black" objects are always either just a dark red/brown or a dark blue so you kinda gamble with what undertone your glasses will have when you get black glass in them right. well. they are Extremely blue. the world looks like an early 2010s movie to me now. and if I peek over them. everything looks Extremely yellow.
Heated rivalry shouldve been about 2 ugly old guys that play mahjong then maybe id consider watching it
i don't remember them playing mahjong but they do other old man things like going to the wet market together and drinking soup and taking walks. anyway go watch suk suk / twilight's kiss
"ok but where's the old chinese lesbians" go watch all shall be well. it's by the same director and the old chinese lesbians are also at the market
does anyone have recs for GOOD!!! recent horror novels? Everytime I pick sth more recent at random it ends up being dog shit. I just finished the final girl support group and I'm at my fucking limit.
on a related note does anyone know of an app/site like letterboxd for books that IS NOT owned by amazon?
reading a good interesting book after a horrible reading slump and suddenly you can feel the sun shining again and the sky is more beautiful than ever and birds are all singing songs to you
