Anyway i hope you all learn from this that the bar for "good grade in airport" is genuinely so low as to be practically nonexistent. If you dont bring your whole fucking phone through a metal detector or act like water isnt a liquid at the bag search station then youre ahead of the curve

Other things people do with alarming regularity that you are by default getting a good grade in airport for not doing:

-illegal weapons in bags. Why are there so many illegal weapons in these bags. Where are they GETTING all these and why is the venn diagram between "people who have the know-how to get access to illegal weapons," "people who try to smuggle them on planes," and "people who think they can fool an x ray" a circle

-entire 2 liter bottles of coke that they try to claim newborn baby liquids for. That is not for your fucking newborn baby and if it is im calling CPS if you cant produce a doctor's note telling me why that 1 month old needs 2 liters of coke for some rare disease that makes them allergic to all fluids except the cold refreshing taste of coca cola

-baggies of illegal drugs marked for the drug they are. I have lost count of the amount of times ive found ziploc bags of white powder literally labeled "cocaine." See point one regarding venn diagrams

-strapping live animals to your inner clothes. You know youre allowed your pets right? Like we let you have your small pets? You dont have to tape your mice into your bra or your hamsters to your inner thigh. Theres procedures for that if you just googled it im going to bite you and bite you and bite you and bit

If you are not doing any of the above, you are probably forgotten about the moment you leave our sights because we all have the object permanence of toddlers

I feel so bad for the annoying women at work. Like I actually feel sick when we’re interacting and I feel the annoyance occurring in my brain like she really doesn’t mean to be this way and she just doesn’t want to feel alone or rejected. you can tell she’s experienced being an outsider everywhere she goes it’s only a matter of time. And it’s not cool chic or edgy but in the ugliest most desperate and dehumanizing way. They always start hopeful. they want to connect and they go searching for someone receptive to her so she can find her people but everyone turns away from her slowly and u hear it in her voice. It’s happening again. she starts hesitating to speak and when she does you hear a shaky child ending every sentence like it’s a question. Testing the waters to know if she’s wrong for even trying. And then I realize I took her smile for granted now that it’s gone.. I have to make it up to her I can’t let something like this continue. Life is so hard for people everywhere, so building a tolerance for being irritated is nothing in comparison especially if the reward is less pain and loneliness in the world I will always be the bestie you have my word
