His bedroom is so tidy. Obsessively tidy. It smells of cleaning spray. I look at the book he’s reading, which is beside his pillow. It’s called Less Than Zero and is by Bret Easton Ellis. Charlie talked to me about it once. He said that he liked it because it’s the sort of book that makes you understand people a little better, and he also said it helped him understand me a little better. I didn’t really believe him because I think that novels can very easily brainwash people, and apparently Bret Easton Ellis is infamous on Twitter.

I am utterly fascinated that the protagonist of one of the most sickly-sweet webcomics out there is canonically a Brett Easton Ellis fan. Even the mention of Ellis's name in this shlock gave me whiplash.

Skaven version of those crystal healing shops with bracelets and necklaces and buckets full of loose crystals and labels for what they're good for, but it's all just warpstone. Saleskaven very helpful, full of advice, highest skaven in skavenblight, everyone wants his job but when they kill him he just doesn't notice.

Saleskaven is actually the most important skaven in all of skavendom. You think Ikit made his nuke? Wrong. Found it in one of Saleskaven's bargain bins. Queek's trophy rack? Bought it from Saleskaven at a 13% discount (very good price). Snikch's cloak of shadows was pried from the dead hands of another shopper during a particularly vicious Warp Friday clearance sale. Where does Saleskaven get his wares and endlessly deep bins and buckets? No one knows. No one wants to check. The Council of Thirteen have actually made it illegal to try and find out.

my little fucklings

periodic rimworld obsession strikes again. i have a small boreal forest colony, consisting of 4 people- one of whom can't fight but is an amazing doctor. a cougar attacked them, severely wounding all but the doctor. she managed to save them all just in the nick of time, but as they were recovering, some raiders attacked. thankfully, they didn't injure my pawns in the slightest, and i managed to capture them both alive. quite exhilerating.
