please stop assuming that specific music im listening to, specific shows im watching, or specific books im reading are putting words into my mouth that weren't there before. if i hear a song and suddenly understand myself a little more after hearing it, it doesn't mean the song influenced me in a bad way. it means someone found the words to express feelings i have that i can't explain. maybe the song gave me the courage to finally speak up and say how i feel. those words were always there, someone else just helped me put them in the right order.

About a week ago I posted this.
I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.
About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like
I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like
This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”
But I guess the lesson goes like this:
DONT TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN

This needs to be reblogged. I couldn’t scroll past this if I tried, I got a message like that but not for me, it told me to my friend to kill them self, I was livid! I didn’t answer it because a message like that doesn’t deserve an answer but I don’t see what is so funny about telling someone to kill them selves! I really don’t! It’s sick and it’s wrong. This person though, I take my hat off to you. You taught that bully a lesson.

Suicide is not joke, you can’t go back from telling someone they should die. And you can’t undo the possible death you could have influenced. Please use kindness instead of this pointless hate. It makes a difference. even a small ‘how was your day?’ helps tremendously.
I’ve actually seen blogs deactivate only to find out people DID kill themselves for this shit. I’ve almost killed myself because of this shit. If I didn’t have the one person IRL that I do to talk to, I wouldn’t be here. Just, don’t do this. It’s not a joke.

Why would you ever tell someone to kill themselves as a joke? That shit is repulsive and i hope people see that what they say can do some damage to people in a lot of ways.
Truly hate the internet sometimes! Put yourself in the shoes of the person receiving these. You should never speak hurtful words and comments to strangers or people you know…no one! Never mind doing so whilst hiding behind anon. Please think twice, gosh you shouldn’t even have to think twice about this.
The world can be cruel enough as it is, please share kindness and words of positivity or simply not at all. If you really have so much hatred that you feel you need to let go off learn of other ways to cope with that instead of inflicting it upon another. Punching bag, art, journaling those words, get a therapist to help you, heck even go into an open field and scream and shout. Just don’t hurt others in your process!
Suicide is no joke. You should never encourage it. You never know whether that one message you send someone is the tipping point. Never mind if they’re receiving multiple (from you or different people). Just stop people.

My little bisexual, plus size, ADHD, POC, and socially anxious self could find myself in any of these characters and there are very few books that have characters that I can so Wholly identify with and it makes me so happy that this book does this. Shoutout to those readers who are disabled and likely for the first time saw themselves in a bad ass strong gang leader capable of anything.

i was watching hamilton again and as i got to it's quiet uptown, i noticed something i hadn't before. after hamilton's affair and their son's death, eliza is very distant and quiet, as one would be. before the reynold's pamphlet, eliza sang words of reassurance and love to hamilton that mostly seemed to go unnoticed by him. after everything that happens to eliza, while hamilton tries to reconcile with her, he sings to her the words she had sang to him. he was listening. her words then made him feel better, so when he didn't know what else to do to comfort her, he sang her the words that she had sung to him because they had made him feel loved.
