if you're having trouble sleeping the best you can do is put a bright object close to your face and look at it for at least 30 minutes. if that doesn't work you can close your eyes but make sure to think really hard about a bunch of bullshit
Jeremy Miranda (American), Day Light Savings, 2022, Acrylic on board
do it grieving
do it while the ground falls out from under you; do it while everything you loved goes up in smoke; do it while the dream of your future is still burning embers around you; build anew on the hot ashes of everything you worked for; keep going, keep loving, keep living, even as all you want is to turn back (there is no turning back; it is gone already); do it through grief, which feels like fear in the body

It does not matter how over saturated you think the market is. No one is doing it like you. You will always be someone’s favorite. Keep cultivating those divine gifts and remember your unique energetic imprint.

(grabs you by the shoulders) you have to make room for new experiences in your life. you have to go through the unpleasant work of leaving your comfort zone, even if just for a few minutes at a time. because if you don't, your brain will trick you into stagnation. you will start to believe that the world can barely fit you in it. but that's not true. it's the opposite way around. you can fit the whole word inside of you. your task is only this: to welcome it with open arms
You need to be okay with being crap at things to get anywhere in life. You might not be the best but that doesn't mean you can't fight for what you want. In the end it's always the people who are least ashamed to go for what they want who will get what they want.
doubting myself again but I have no choice but to move forward anyways
what Work is the most important? the work you have to do next. narrow the scope of focus down to that singular glittering point.
How to get out of a rut
Whatever you do, keep on moving. Lack of action will have you going down into mental spirals that will cause confusion, anxiety, and depression. Regardless of how things may appear like in the moment or what fears may be clouding your mind, you have to keep moving. Be mindful of the present, and focus on the things you can change today, not on what could happen tomorrow. Do not become paralyzed, because more often than not, things tend to end up being much better in the end than we previously thought possible.
