Repent Daily!

We’ve all seen someone one day and then the next day, they’re gone. When they’re gone, we always reflect on how life short is and how it can easily be taken from us.

The most common follow up after that? “Live life to the fullest” or something about letting go of the past.

Not saying we shouldn’t do those things, but we’re missing the bigger picture. There’s more to life than just work, school, whatever. We are God’s children rather you want to be are not. We are not going to be here forever. Yes, we have eternal life through Jesus Christ. But we won’t be on this earth forever. When judgement day comes, don’t you finally want peace?

Repent and accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. Spend eternal life in heaven

Remember, God wouldn’t make us just to leave us.

Even if you don’t feel Him, He’s there.

He has blessed be abundantly. He was with me and He covered me back when I didn’t want to acknowledge him. Since I’ve given my life to Him, He has healed me and delivered me out of my struggles. I’m still a sinner but knowing He is with me and loving me makes overcoming my sins easier.

We don’t say “pray without ceasing” for no reason, turning to God and reading the Bible will heal you. Praying to God is the time to be vulnerable and to say everything that is on your mind. Don’t make yourself sick by holding it all to yourself.

All struggles are temporary.

People say, “There’s no heaven and hell,” because why would a good God send people to hell? He doesn’t. Our unbelief does. Our idols and the bitterness we harbor inside. Everyday He reaches out and men keep saying, “No. no. No. You are not what I want. I want my sin, my shame, my pride. I don’t need You. You are not good.”

So they lay down in the bed of their own way, one God never made for them. He gave them Jesus’ bed, clean robes of righteousness to wear, full of glory and honor on account of what Jesus did, but men keep on loving their own lives more and so they go to where the devil lives, because they chose to love the lie instead of the truth.

For myself, giving my life to Jesus Christ at first was confusing and hard. Back then I knew that God was there but I knew nothing about him.

I didn’t know anything about repentance and I only prayed when roadblocks happened in my life.

I’m going to share the first couple of steps I personally took on my journey with Christ and hopefully it can help someone. Because starting out, especially by yourself can be confusing/overwhelming.

First, be honest with yourself, and God. Cut the sugarcoating.

The Lord knows what happened already. (It’s like when you know something about someone and your waiting to see if they’re going to lie or tell the truth.)

Second, just start praying.

Tell God what you’re having issues with, tell Him what you want to change about yourself. (This kind of sounds like… repentance. The word, you’re hearing everyone say but you don’t know what they’re talking about lol). Repentance is acknowledging your sins, feeling remorseful and going to God and apologizing for sinning against him.

They’re are a lot of sins to avoid but just so you don’t overwhelm yourself, look up ‘The Ten Commandments’ to start with and reflect on what you’re doing now and what you’ve done and repent.

We are always trying new things. We are always trying new trends.

Give God a try.

If you are curious of God, give God a try. Don’t be ashamed or scared. The Lord loves us all, even people who do not follow him. He’s waiting for you to come to Him, to come home. The Lord does not force his love. So us as His servants won’t try to force Him on others either. Try confiding in Him, depressed, happy, whatever. Try talking to him for a while.

Some people don’t want to follow God because following Him is too “strict”. To follow God you have to humble yourself and be prepared to be corrected. But who wouldn’t want to better themselves?
