You're an inpatient in a mental health facility. One day, Shane becomes one too.

"Rough session?" You asked, knowing he was fucking miserable. "What's this fucker's problem?" He answered, kicking the plastic chair against the wall. "This fucking place…" "S'not a holiday centre, huh?" You laughed, elbowing him. "Got the same guy in about an hour." "Tell him to fuck off for me will ya." "Might. Never met a kind substance users advisor." You add, lighting another cigarette, which was planned for your next break and will let you with nothing after your session, but it gave you an excuse to stay with him. "What're you in for?" Shane sent you a grin, with a tiny laugh raising his shoulders. "Tried to jump off a cliff, right into the sea." He said, his smile still on. "Yourself?" You opened wide eyes, amused. "Jumped off a bridge, right into the sea." You replied, laughing. "Guess a cliff woulda done the job better."

a mosque in scotland had to be put into lockdown. they are going door-to-door with hit lists and addresses in northern ireland, setting houses alight. they firebombed an imam's house in manchester. people of colour are being targeted and attacked by racist mobs in the street in broad daylight.

and instead of widespread condemnation or wall-to-wall coverage, the UK media and political establishment is filling air time talking about the "legitimate concerns" people have about "illegal migrants"

How long have you been writing fanfiction? I think I wrote my first fanfic in like… 2006? It's been on and off since then.

Favourite SDV character to write? Shane! I like exploring his softer side, especially when it comes to his relationship with Jas.

Favourite tropes/genre to write? Romance/smut, fluff, friends to lovers, honestly anything involving love. Just hopeless romantic things hehe

Your most popular SDV fanfic? My most popular fic is my smutty Elliott/Farmer oneshot, "A Little Rendezvous." It's also my first SDV fanfic!

Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? My underdog fic is my submission for the Guild's Mermay 2025 event, "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful." It's a mermaid AU centered around Jas and Emily, and it's so cute and wholesome. It's also my first multi-chaptered fic that I've completed, and I'm still really proud of it.

Hear me out: Hear me out: I think the baby that Marnie is holding hands with in Secret Note #11 is Mona. My headcanon is that the photo was taken in the 90s and Mona is Marnie's daughter, and that Mona died from an illness when she was young.

Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? I've written for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and DanDaDan!

Because I just saw a post bitching about this one, I want to add: this post is saying that you need to take accountability for the way you hurt other people, even if it happens because of a symptom of your disability/illness. It's also saying that using terms (especially acronyms) that aren't common knowledge isn't a helpful way to explain yourself. It is NOT saying that you need to let people walk all over you because "your disability isn't an excuse."

If you're diabetic, you don't have to eat the honey glazed ham that will send you into a coma (their example). But you also can't yell at the person offering it and accuse them of trying to kill you. You can just say "thanks, but my body can't handle that kind of sugar intake, so I'll pass"
