even though she only has one chapter in the whole series I think melisandre is my favorite pov in the entirety of asoiaf. the stannis/melisandre/davos trio have my favorite dynamic in the whole series, everything happening in the north and especially the wall in the later books is the most compelling part of the story for me, and it's so interesting to finally get into the head of someone who can actually use magic on purpose (and is quite talented at it) since grrm is generally very coy about magic and how it works.

good defensive baseball players are so underrated it pisses me off. there is literally nothing more fun in the sport than watching an elite middle infielder steal hits and singlehandedly neutralize scoring opportunities on a regular basis. but all these fucking people just want to see home runs
