Would it be an abuse of power to send a Strike team to raid a Foundation site for their bio engineered coffee? It tastes like shit but the caffeine lasts all day.

Multiple households of my close friends in family have been living with rolling blackouts, intermittent hot water supply, and no central heating for weeks now. Just among the people I know, for several of them it’s 10C/50F in their homes right now, and it got as low as 6C/43F. Most of them are of retirement age and/or have disabilities. My partner was in the hospital during one of the recent strikes, and even the hospital had no running water for some time. And that’s in Kyiv, which as the capital has comparatively many resources to sustain the infrastructure (as seen in the articles above).
I know everything is fucked right now, but if you have something to spare, please consider donating to vetted Ukrainian support organizations to alleviate some of the burden.

Something that I have noticed is I know almost nobody my age that goes to a food pantry. I know people who regularly run out of money for food and in general have to eat an unsuitable diet because that’s what they can afford and they still don’t go to a food bank, im not sure if it’s because they’re embarrassed or maybe if you didn’t grow up going you don’t know much about it but if you’re financially struggling I really recommend it. And look into other options for food assistance too like community fridges and gardens and other programs that can assist you, where I live Salvation Army pays for an allotted amount of grocery delivery for low income people every month, in the summer farmers take excess produce to the library to be taken by anyone who needs it, etc. There are a LOT of resources for free food that you can look into especially if you are literally not eating because of your financial situation
Btw if you have dietary restrictions you can often let them know and in many cases they’ll prioritize certain items for you

Ok the US Attorney General says that she will remove ICE if MN drops all our sanctuary laws, complies with ICE, hands over all our SNAP, Medicaid and voter rolls. They demand control over our voter registration so they can "ensure free and fair elections".
They want to control our elections.
I am dead serious people call your representatives. Get volunteering. Get protesting. Get LOUD.
They released a letter full of straight up lies. Spread the truth. MAKE NOISE.

Are masked agents stalking your town, looking to kidnap your neighbors? Want to do your part to protect each other, but don’t know where to start?
This guide is based on the knowledge that an array of people have accumulated in Chicago over the past several months during “Operation Midway Blitz.”
As federal agents expand their assaults on communities across the country, it is crucial to share and build on these practices.
great advice here esp. digital security which we could all do better at.
🚨!!!ATTENTION ALL AMERICAN TIKTOK USERS!!🚨
Control of TikTok in the US has just been given over to Oracle, a major tech company known for its closeness with the Trump administration. Today on Jan 22, 2026, the privacy policy and terms of service for using the app changed. You are not able to open the app unless you click “agree” on a new pop up, but they do not lay out what you are agreeing to. I took the liberty of reading the new tos and privacy policy and it is FUCKED.
DO NOT AGREE TO THEIR NEW TERMS OF SERVICE!!!
I am not done reading yet but I had to make a disclaimer right now because what I have read so far is so disturbing. I will make a full update once I have finished reading it all but so far some of the biggest things that have stuck out to me are
They have a whole section about medical data they are collecting. They are collecting data from videos, comments, and private messages posted as well as IDENTIFYING THINGS IN THE BACKGROUND OF VIDEOS AND BODILY CUES that may indicate physical or mental illness
They are also using the same method of scanning videos (both posted and unposted), CAMERA ROLL, messages, and comments for a variety of things including INDICATION OF IMMIGRATION STATUS. They specifically say they are collecting “sensitive information” such as ETHNICITY, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER (they specifically mention trans and nonbinary individuals), and IMMIGRATION STATUS.
They note that not only will this information be used for marketing and analytics (meaning they will sell it to other companies), it will also be used for legal activities, most likely meaning that, as many of us feared, they will be sharing all of this readily with the government
Again, I have not read the entire document yet but I will be making a followup with screenshots once I have. However even what I have read thus far proves that TikTok is NOT SAFE to use in the US especially if you are part of a marginalized group. Please stay safe
This just gets worse and worse, somehow.
I'll add something helpful, but mostly unrelated, to lighten the load of horseshit this TikTwat debacle has become.
I suppose they could have given it to...Palantir.
They bashed in his door with a battering ram, so by all accounts, they were not let into the home.
He’s a US citizen, so they obviously could not have had a judicial warrant to arrest this guy.
They literally bashed in a man’s door for being Asian.
Bashed in a semi naked man’s door with a battering ram for the crime of being Asian. No warrant, no crime, no probable cause, nothing.
It was below zero in MN yesterday when this happened. Just breathing the air suddenly like that could have killed this man. Bare skin freezes in seconds in the wind chills we've had this weekend.
Most POC are sheltering in place if they can. Those that have to go to work/school or have just braved going out, have been followed home and their whole families arrested. ICE are driving in a deliberately unsafe manner to cause as many accidents as possible. If they see a POC driving they will just smash into them.
All of this has been documented.
Here is a MN State Senator from Apple Valley talking about this:
They dropped him outside away from home in the cold after arresting him, having come in with no warrant AND refused to see his ID proving his citizenship when he tried to show them.
Making him stand in the cold for hours literally could have killed him.
ChongLy ‘Scott’ Thao of Minnesota says agents pointed guns at his family, and his four-year-old grandson watched and cried
“I was shaking,” [Thao] said. “They didn’t show any warrant; they just broke down the door.”
Amid a huge surge of federal agents into the Twin Cities, immigration authorities are facing backlash from residents and the local leaders for warrantless arrests, aggressive clashes with protesters and the fatal shooting of mother of three Renee Good.
…
Thao, who has been a US citizen for decades, said that as he was being detained he asked his daughter-in-law to find his identification but the agents told him they didn’t want to see it.
Instead, as his four-year-old grandson watched and cried, Thao was led out in handcuffs wearing only sandals and underwear with just a blanket wrapped around his shoulders.
Videos captured the scene, which included people blowing whistles and horns and neighbors screaming at the more than a dozen gun-toting agents to leave Thao’s family alone.
Thao said agents drove him “to the middle of nowhere” and made him get out of the car in the frigid weather so they could photograph him. He said he feared they would beat him. He was asked for his ID, which agents earlier prevented him from retrieving.
Agents eventually realized that he was a US citizen with no criminal record, Thao said, and an hour or two later, they brought him back to his house. There they made him show his ID and then left without apologizing for detaining him or breaking his door, Thao said.
They claim there were two convicted sex offenders in the house who they were looking for—trying to do guilt by association. Nobody on the sex offender registry was there or even in the neighborhood, which public records should have told them—the homeowners and residents of the home were not on the registry. But they’re still lying that there “were sex offenders in the house” to smear this man and his family and retroactively justify this violence.
His ethnicity isn’t incidental. Minneapolis’s Hmong community which is very established is being targeted along with the Somali and multiple Latine diaspora communities. Thao was a post-Vietnam era refugee to the states; he’s lived here literally since the 1970s. But he’s not a citizen by birth, and he’s not white, so he’s “fair game” to them.
April, 2025 - it's beautiful how everyone joins in, from old grey hair dudes, to random other tourists, to tiny little Thai ladies kicking the piece of shit Israeli tourists in the face. A real bonding experience for everyone involved. It's how Zionist Israelis need to be welcomed everywhere.
(sorry @fairuzfan but apparently you still cant add videos to replies on tumblr so I had to post it this way)
Zionists really are the worst tourists. People in Thailand especially hate them
But did you guys know that back in 2021 a report presented to the Knesset's Special Committee on Foreign Workers stated that 100% of Thai foreign workers had been sexually abused in Israel.
It actually said "Every foreign agricultural worker was sexually assaulted in Israel"
So not only are they the worst tourists in the world they're also the most dangerous hosts. You don't want them in your country and you absolutely don't want to risk going to theirs.
Transcription, because it is worth reading:
There’s a phenomenon I actually see extremely commonly when literature is used to teach history to middle school and high school students. Let’s call it “pajamafication.”
So a school district nixed Maus from their curriculum, to be replaced by something more “age-appropriate.” IIRC they didn’t cite a specific replacement title, but it will probably be something like John Boyne’s “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.”
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is tailor-made for classroom use. It’s taught at countless schools and it’s squeaky-clean of any of the parent-objectionable material you might find in Maus, Night, or any of the other first-person accounts of the Holocaust.
It’s also a terrible way to teach the Holocaust.
I’m not going to exhaustively enumerate the book’s flaws—others have done so—but I’ll summarize the points that are common to this phenomenon in various contexts.
First, obviously, the context shift. Maus, Night, et al are narrated by actual Jews who were in concentration camps. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is narrated by a German boy. The Jewish perspective is completely eliminated.
Second, the emphasis on historical innocence. Bruno isn’t antisemitic. He has no idea that anything bad is happening. He happily befriends a Jewish boy with absolutely no prejudice.
Thus we’re reassured that you too, gentle reader, are innocent. You too would have have a childlike lack of prejudice and you too would be such a sweet summer child that you would have no idea the place next door is a death camp.
In Maus, by contrast, the children are not innocent. They are perpetrators of injustice just like adults.
[ID: Picture of part of a page of Maus where children run away yelling “Help! Mommy! A Jew!! - the next panel says “The mothers always told so: ‘Be careful! A Jew will catch you to a bag and eat you!’ …So the taught to their children.”]
Maus also smashes the claim that people just didn’t know what was going on in the camps.
[ID: Picture of part of a page of Maus where a Nazi truck is arriving at Auschwitz guarded by men with sticks and a pointing, growling dog, the boxes say “And we came here to the concentration camp Auschwitz. And we knew that from here we will not come out anymore…” “We knew the stories that they will gas us and throw in the oves. This was 1944… we knew everything. And here we were.”]
Third, nonspecificity. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas turns a specific historical atrocity into a parable about all forms of bigotry and injustice. I’m sure Boyne thinks he’s being very profound. But the actual effect is to blunt and erase the atrocity.
There’s the too-cute-by-half way it avoids terminology: “Off-With,” “the Fury.” Harsh language becomes “He said a nasty word.”
Notice how “it’s a fable” ties in with the goal of eliminating anything parents might object to.
And that’s our fourth point. Bad things can happen, but only abstractly. Someone’s dad disappears. He’s just…gone. How? Who knows. People stand around looking hungry and unhappy and saying “It’s not very nice in here.”
The ending is sad, but it’s sad like a Lifetime movie. It’s sanitized, it’s quick, there are no details, it’s meant to poke that bit of your heart that loves crying.
Maus’s description of the gas chambers, meanwhile…
[ID: Picture of part of a page of Maus where the process of gassing and then taking out the bodies are described in detail as inmates are working. That it took 3 to 30 minutes to gas people. That the largest pile of bodies was by the door. The worker telling the story mentions “We pulled the bodies apart with hooks. Big piles, with the strongest on top, older ones and babies crushed below… often the skulls were smashed…” “Their fingers were broken from trying to climb up the walls… and sometimes their arms were wera as long as their bodies, pulled from the sockets.” Until the narrator says, “Enough!” “I didn’t want to more to hear, but anyway he told me.”]
A historical atrocity can never be a metaphor for all bigotry because the specifics are what makes it an atrocity. The Nazis didn’t just do “bad things, generally,” they did THESE things. And leaving out the details is simply historical erasure.
Finally, fifth: Fiction.
However much poor little Bruno and Schmuel might rend your heartstrings, you can ultimately retreat into the knowledge that they aren’t real and they didn’t really die.
Now, I write historical fiction, and obviously I believe it has a place, in the classroom and out. But no Holocaust education can be complete without nonfiction that teaches about real people who genuinely did experience it.
One of the striking things about Maus is how big the cast is and how few of them survived.
[ID: Picture of part of a page of Maus where one character describes to another many other people who didn’t make it. Eventually covered over in lower panels by pictures of the dead.]
Because it’s a true story, Maus can also explore neglected aspects like the intergenerational trauma, which simply vanish in a pat fictional story that is just finished when you get to the end.
[ID: Picture of part of a page of Maus where the illustrator sits at the drawing desk above the pile of bodies. The artist says: “At least fifteen foreing editions are coming out. I’ve got 4 serious offers to turn my book into a TV special or movie. (I don’t wanna.) In May 1968 my mother killd herself. (She left no note.) Late’y I’ve been feeling depressed.” Someone calls from out of panel, “Alright Mr. Spiegelman… We’re ready to shoot!…”]
Thus, books like The Boy in the Striped Pajamas are not an age-appropriate equivalent way to teach the Holocaust, but a false construction of history.
This ends the first part of the thread. But there’s more…
The Maus incident is not an isolated case. It’s part of a broad trend of replacing the literature used to teach history with more kid-friendly, “appropriate” alternatives.
And outside of the Holocaust, it usually doesn’t meet with much controversy.
It might mean replacing Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave or Solomon Northup’s Twelve Years a Slave with modern historical fiction, for example.
Wars, the Civil Rights movement, Apartheid: any “icky” part of history can be a target.
But it plays out along the same general lines: Primary sources replaced with modern fiction, victim perspectives replaced with perpetrators, specificity replaced with Star-Bellied Sneetch-style “Why can’t we all just get along?” metaphors.
since I'm getting more and more of these lately...
Y'all, if you receive a comment that reads something along the lines of "hey I have something important to tell you (about your account), but I can't message you idk whyy??"
... DO NOT DM THEM.
THIS IS A PHISHING TACTIC - they will most likely tell you that they accidentally reported your account or something and that you have to get it resolved with tumblr and then give you an email screenshot or something that tells you to contact a "tumblr staff" on discord - THIS IS FAKE.
THEY ARE TRYING TO GET YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION, TO USE YOUR ACCOUNT TO TRICK OTHERS INTO THE SAME TRAP.
likewise...
... DO NOT DM ACCOUNTS THAT SAY THEY "WANT TO COMMISSION YOU" AND TELL YOU TO DM THEM. <- <- <- THESE ARE PHISHING/SCAM BOTS TOO.
----
If you're unsure:
bots tend to comment almost immediately after a post went up
bots never compliment anything specific about your post so that it's easier to copy/paste automatically
unless you have this setting different, by default anyone should be able to dm you and a commenter acting like you have to do the first step to initiate a DM convo is a red flag
tumblr HAS ways to contact them about issues through their help center. Tumblr does NOT handle these things through DISCORD

The most recent ceasefire has not meant an end to genocide. We must contextualize this truth within the larger historical reality: Palestine has been enduring genocidal aggression from Israel since 1948. There are periods of greater intensity, but no periods of actual relief from this state. This is the reality of all settler-colonial projects, including Zionism. We must combat this genocide not as an outlier, but as deeply embedded in global structures of colonialism.
These are not unprecedented times. This moment of constant atrocity continues steadily from each previous year. There is no way to rewind the clock. This does not mean further atrocity is inevitable. It is not fate.
Genocide is not a force of "human nature" that we must live with. It is something humans are doing, and allowing to happen, and fighting against, and being martyred within, and surviving, all at once.
We all have a role to play in how things progress from here. Time moves forward, and we must take accountability for how our collective decisions shape the future we must all endure.
My friend Fadel is enduring the roughest consequences of all of our collective decisions. He is a young man, living in Gaza. He survived the bombing of his family home, but lives with chronic pain from untreated injuries. His family has been living in a tent since then, tattered and repeatedly flooded in winter storms. They have been sick for weeks now, unable to recover under these conditions.
@fadel-dani runs a fundraiser to afford food, supplies, and medicine (gazavetters list #197). Hopefully he will raise enough to get to a better resourced hospital outside of Gaza where surgeons can remove the shrapnel from his body that causes him constant pain.
These are the events of his life. We cannot go back in time and prevent these traumas from happening to him. His life can only move forward from this moment. We all have a role to play in what happens to him from here. Please help change the course of his life.
I am one of the victims of this Nazi-like occupation. Our house was bombed while we were inside, resulting in me being injured by shrapnel that remains embedded in my body to this day. This is due to the destruction of all our hospitals by the Israeli occupation. Currently, the entry of medicines and medical equipment necessary for surgeries for the injured is being prevented. Therefore, I urgently need your help in donating so that I can raise the funds for my treatment, travel expenses, and surgery as soon as possible. Please donate.
Please, if you can donate anything, share some funds with him. If you can't, reblog this and help get more eyes on Fadel's story. Comment encouraging others. It all helps.
