Psalm 94:18–19 When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your love, O LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. The psalmist here says, “My foot is slipping.” He was in a position where he was no longer in control. He couldn’t save himself, but he says with great gratitude, “Your love, O LORD, supported me.” How often that’s true. When we come to the place where our foot is slipping, then God reaches out in His great love and mercy and He supports us and saves us. Are you facing a situation that seems bigger than a mountain? God is faithful. He is with you every step of the way. When your feet slip on the slopes of life, He holds you up with His unfailing love. Safe within His loving grip you can have the confidence to keep going down the path of life.
If you are sensible, you will control your temper. When someone wrongs you, it is a great virtue to ignore it.

We can talk a good act: I love people. But do we really love them? Our love is revealed in how we act toward them.

“My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action.” - 1 John 3:18 (GNT)

Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit. He said, “There was once a judge in some city who never gave God a thought and cared nothing for people. A widow in that city kept after him: ‘My rights are being violated. Protect me!’ He never gave her the time of day. But after this went on and on he said to himself, ‘I care nothing what God thinks, even less what people think. But because this widow won’t quit badgering me, I’d better do something and see that she gets justice — otherwise I’m going to end up beaten black-and-blue by her pounding.’” Then the Master said, “Do you hear what that judge, corrupt as he is, is saying? So what makes you think God won’t step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won’t he stick up for them? I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?”

Nobody wants to be different. We want people to like us, and one of the safest ways to do that is to blend in. But following Christ has never been about “blending in.” Thousands of believers in places like China, the Middle East, and Afghanistan are standing up for Jesus. To them Jesus is more important than personal peace and comfort. We need to keep in mind that Jesus never promised that following Him would be easy. In fact, He made it clear that following Him would often create tension in a world that is going in the opposite direction. He said to His disciples: “… If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you also” (John 15:18) “In this world you will have trouble.” But then He said, “Take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). What an interesting thought: When I stick with Him through thick and thin, I may feel like I’ve lost, but in reality, I ultimately win!
When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?’ Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for Me. Matthew 25:40 As we walked down the corridors of the hospital, we saw rows and rows of beds with sick people. We went to the orthopedic section. Two pairs of eyes welling up with tears. Broken legs and fractured spine. They had jumped off a balcony to escape abuse and rape. We reached out to them and shared the love of Christ. They were so eager and opened their hearts to Him. Misery was all around us. People of all ages, suffering with various ailments…How often I’d been so self-absorbed! Friends, let’s step out, even in the midst of our pain. There are millions who are hurting, who need a word, a gentle touch, a hug.
