discovering Bjork's 2001 album Vespertine, at the turn of my 3rd decade in this world has unexpectedly been the key piece in truly processing the uncertain, surreal experience aging in real time.
forever grateful to uncover music precisely when my soul needs it.
i seem to walk a precarious line of being, wherein I'm either content to let the few daily threads of intrigue bring me to flow in creative activities, or I am lost within a desolate mental landscape which stretches forever into the horizon. And amidst these two states, there are paths with potential to be taken, but the energy to look upon them and ahead into the future more often evades me.
to be gentle is to refrain from rushing ones self down the path towards the fruit. its understanding the requirement to hold space for flow. and allowing for movement of the other within. going forward only surrounds one with chaos infused waves, cloudy and uncertain.
listening to a new album and realizing one of the songs was one I'd heard many years ago but forgotten about. coming back to it anew in the context it came from, brings forth in me a perspective of peace that I hadn't yet considered, but really knew all along.
has anyone learned how to let go yet? asking for a friend.
🌿 Help Us Find Peace Amid the Chaos 🌿
Hello, friends.
My name is Mohammed, and I'm reaching out from a place of unimaginable hardship. My family, like so many others in Gaza, is struggling to survive each day. The conflict has taken a heavy toll on our lives, leaving us to face a grim reality, our home has been destroyed, and we are left with nowhere safe to go. 😔
I am the father of three beautiful children, and as a parent, nothing is more painful than watching your kids grow up, surrounded by fear and destruction. Mirn, Bark, and Mariar are the light of my life, but they've never known the joy of running through a park without fear, or playing freely like children should. ❤️
We've reached a point where staying here is no longer an option. The walls that once sheltered us now stand in ruins, and hope for a safe future is fading fast. We dream of rebuilding, not just our home, but our lives, somewhere free from the daily fear of war, where my children can sleep peacefully and smile again. 🕊️
But we need your help to make this dream a reality. Your support means more than just money, it's a lifeline. It's a chance for us to begin again.
Every Act of Kindness Brings Us Closer to Safety. Your compassion can help us escape this nightmare. We are asking for your support, no matter how small, to help us start fresh, away from the violence, away from the rubble, and toward a place where my family can heal and grow. Every dollar you contribute is a step toward hope. 🙏
Thank you for standing with us in these difficult times. Your kindness can help us rebuild our lives and find peace again. ❤️🩹
With sincere gratitude,
Mohammed and Family

no one and nothing
feels like home
all I want is my
younger self
to hold her close
its always scary to me how you can just do anything like i could spend the last of my money right now to ride a train for 3 hours and then just be stuck out there and walk around until i die of exhaustion
comparison does not exist
without the glimmer of you
in the mix
Lilac
abrupt lucidity
blooming from infinity
lingering in my vicinity
a hazy lilac glow
If I could reach you
deep in my chest
I'd dig in these fingers
and press around you
I'd feel the jagged points
and breathe through the fumes
that seem to ripple
in deep waves from you
this storm of dark
that always clouded
seems to suddenly pale
to your obsidian profoundness
an ancient entity
rooted in resilience
i'll sit with you
in our piercing existence
i take comfort in embracing the idea that every day does not
need to be “the day”
but rather another memory of presence i get to live and be in
too heavy to rest in form
to disperse seems the only path
that rings true in the core
