What's your opinion on Song Machine so far? I think it's a nice mix of Demon Dayz and Plastic Beach but I'm also scared its gonna to the Humanz route of too many featured artists

I really love the first two songs, they’re really good!!! To be honest I don’t think Song Machine has the right to call those “episodes” though, because so far they don’t have any connection with each other or even any solid plot other than “the band vibing out with the featured artist”. The animation is really well made but there’s so little of it I wish we could get a fully animated video that isn’t just them superimposed onto live action footage (they have to have the budget for that now I assume right!!!) 0___0 My main concern with Gorillaz recently has been that I’m worried the characters are becoming more like shallow mascots than people with a story... Overall though, I’ve never had too much of a problem with having a lot of featured artists so I don’t really mind that part as much, but I hope Song Machine finds a way to feel more like a solid and genuinely interesting project rather than a bunch of unrelated work being put together under a “series” facade ^____^ thank u for asking btw I’ve been wanting to talk about this LOL
