There are a lot of things I’m going to miss about the twins being tiny. This moment is one of them. Not because I think they’ll grow out of affection or love, but because I think they’ll grow out of the time and interest and priority they have for it right now. It’s just how it goes. They’re starting to have more and more outside personality traits and hobbies and jokes and thoughts. Their world is just getting bigger and bigger, their personalities bigger and bigger. And that’s good. They’re still sweet and confident and receptive and open. This isn’t some “Oh god teenage years are coming” fear. Just acknowledging they’re not gonna stop becoming not tiny people and that these moments that are our normal are gonna fade out. And I’m excited for that. I’m excited I get to love these two people for a very long time and I get to know them through their ages and phases. I’m just going to miss tiny them while loving not tiny them, I think, is all.
