Two important things that Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House taught me :

 1. building up walls pushes one pain away but creates another, deeper one 

2. buying a stranger at the end of the bar a drink without their consent is somehow socially accepted, but if you were to buy them an appetizer, now that’s fucking weird
