Finished my first ever air dry clay piece!! I used acrylic paint and then went over everything with a gloss glaze. I'm happy with how it came out and I'm excited to make more like it!
Hi there,
I have an Etsy shop for “unusual paper puppets & dolls” that your followers might enjoy. It may fall under the category “Goth adjacent” but I have a Guro Nurse, Lady Krampus, conjoined twins, a girl with a parasitic twin, a little witch, an octopus puppet…OK, maybe it *is* pretty Goth. I’m also on Tumblr with my various creations (both paper crafts and animation).
All best, Jen

This is super cool but it doesn’t include the text instructions! Here’s the original imgur gallery with some comments on each image, and here is a detailed tutorial that the creator made (he also made the code free to use on his github) in case you want to make one yourself!
Very fun.
Current diy project, a good way to re-use old shirt that you consider throwing away. Looks great over band shirts.
Okay for doing this kind of DIY.
I use a scratch awl that my friend made me for studding vests.
One you can buy in a store looks something like this.
But you could just use a fork, it just takes more force.
Just stretch out the fabric and poke it over and over. Simple, but it takes a stupid long time.

I’ve had this old blouse for forever- I think I got it at a thrift store like 10 years ago, and I felt like it was time for an update. Now with the addition of a lace applique, some ruffled lace trim, and a little bit of velvet ribbon, I think it looks MUCH fancier!

Hey. I'm trying to plan some DIY projects I can do for my room which I'm redoing (it's literally all white and I have this wallpaper that's got black, grey and dark purple stripes.) Trying to find a good cheap way to make a Historical (German/Victorian London) type clock and I'm not having much luck. ;_; Can I get some advice?
I’m happy to help if I can! Can you give me more of an idea of what you have in mind? A tabletop clock, a wall clock? What size? Do you have any images similar to what you’re thinking of?
I can start with the general advice that I find makes a great starting point for almost any project: if you have any thrift stores or secondhand shops nearby, scour those for clocks, old wooden boxes, anything that seems like it might make a decent clock part. Estate sales are another good place to look. You might get lucky and find just what you’re looking for, no DIY needed. More likely, you’ll find bits and pieces that you can put together in a way that looks good.
Check out craft stores and home improvement stores for wooden bits and bobs that can turn something plain into something ornate. Use nails and screws to hold things together rather than glue when you can.
Any kind of ornate piece is going to be harder to make from scratch than something simple, which is why I recommend looking for things that are already in a shape you can use. Sand and refinish things to make different pieces match, or paint over them.
I hope this is helpful, and I wish you luck! Any advice from my followers?
