Omg I just saw what jensen (and misha) said and I think people are less shocked about the take but more so that it was said at all considering the show was carried for years largely by queer following and then to compare (shamelessly) the possibility of a gay relationship to an incestuous one is really fucking crazy.

Like cas' "coming out" was not about saying he was gay (Im pretty sure cas says they dont have gender/sexuality like that) if cas' confession was meant to be familial and his one true happiness was living his truth he would have come out to Jack? The person he has most familial connection to ? And would have had the same result with the empty being summond. But it wasnt it was about Dean making cas happy. Allowing cas to understand friendship and romantic connection by being fundamentally changed by human connection with dean specifically. Also you may have noticed that the empty wasnt summoned until cas said I love you.

Also omg dude (in jensens pov) your best friend is coming ojt to you in the most emotional, heart wrenching, poetic, way by also reassuring you that everything you have ever been through and all your flaws have shapped you into the person they love, respect and have learned so much from enough to feel comfortable to share something like this with you in such a way, and you have their confirmation that when this confession is over they are going to die and after everything theyve done for you and are doing for you now, after being your best friend for 12 years you say no last words to them.
