He felt guilty, admitting to wanting to leave already. It was the right thing to do, to stay. The wedding wasn’t even over yet. And Sunok was such a good friend to Hansol that he shouldn’t have bothered saying anything. But, then again, she was offering? As her hand cupped his cheek, he moved his to her hips, holding her close to him while he contemplated it. “A-are you sure? Hansol won’t be mad at you?” He really didn’t want to ruin his wedding by pulling away one of his best friends.
Her suggestion was innocent, until the last part, which again had him blushing to his dislike. How red was his face at this point? He didn’t really have anything against that idea of course. She looked beautiful tonight, and he wanted to show her just how beautiful he thought she looked. (( With his lips, his tongue, his hands… )) Looking around for a quick second he nodded in agreement. There were things that needed to be done anyway. He needed to feed peppermint, take a shower, and it was getting late after all. “Okay, we’ll stop by the apartment and pick up Peppermint before we leave. I don’t like that she was left alone tonight anyway.” His words felt like a bit of a defense, to make it seem like they weren’t just leaving for sex– which they weren’t. But Sunok might think that he thought that, and he’d rather she didn’t.
With that he gave her another quick kiss, sliding his hands away from her waist and taking her own in his as he began to push them through the crowd. He thought the proper thing to do might be to tell the newlyweds that they were leaving, but then again he’d never been to a wedding. And this wasn’t a very traditional wedding. (( Not to mention, if they said goodbye, odds were Hansol would try to convince them to stay. )) “Do you have anything you need to grab before we head out? Your purse? Or are you ready?”
She could see the guilt on his face, and along with his question she could see why he had it, they would be leaving the wedding early. She didn’t really know how early it would be never having been to a wedding before, but she’d spent her time with Hansol already and was happily with his new spouses now.“ Yes, I’m sure.” She nodded, “ I think he’d understand,We’ve talked to him a few times throughout the night and he knows neither of us like going and being out for too long.” Sunok added reassuringly. There was the slight chance that Hansol wouldn’t understand, but if that happened to be the case she’d talk with him. Explain the best she could, and hope for that he’d come around to understanding. She loves him, his her best friend and she was happy to be there for him on his day, but leaving early isn’t the worst she could do. Especially since most of the important wedding things- that she knew of were done.
The reddening in his face was a sign enough that he’d picked up on what she meant and while that excited her, she really did look forward to the rest of the nights plans as well. The smile on her face began to grow even larger as he went on to talk about Peppermint. He really did adore the cat-she did too of course ,Peppermint was practically their child. Just hearing his plans and then concerns was sweet. “ Okay, that sounds like a good plan.” Sunok nodded in agreement. “ Yeah, I thought she may have had Angel, but I saw Liau brought her to the wedding. I’m sure that she was fine for the few hours.” She added, she knew leaving peppermint alone for the hours of the wedding was something she could easily handle, but her coming home with then to her apartment felt like the most natural thing as it was normally the case for when he stayed over.
Sunok kissed her boyfriend back quickly, not that she had much choice the kiss was over fast enough. That didn’t matter too much though, she knew there would be more later. She followed her boyfriend’s lead, moving through the crowds along. “ Wait, I need to go get my purse actually.” She answered slipping her hand out of his. “ I’ll be right back, stay here.” Sunok said before going back to there table, she knew it’d probably just be faster if she went alone and she wasn’t going to keep him waiting too long. Once at the table, she reached for her purse scanning it for anything else she or Sangtae could have left. After deciding that they had it all she made her way back to her boyfriend. “ Now, I’m ready. Are you ready to go?” She asked, slipping her hand back into his.
He supposed she was probably right. They had spent quite a bit of time talking to him already, and he probably had his hands full with his new spouses. (( Song Ah was a handful at least. )) Besides, a text would be a nice enough goodbye, that was how he did most of his communication anyway. Hansol knew that. And in the off chance Hansol was irritated about them leaving early, he was sure he could make it up to him some how. Since he’d been the one to drive, he had the keys in his pocket, so he at least didn’t have to go looking for those. It’d be a quick trip out of the venue once she was ready to go.
The mention of Peppermint was enough to cool him down, making the situation less sexual. He shook his head at her mention of Angel, knowing he would’ve been more comfortable had the dog been left at home. But Liau had brought her along, which meant Peppermint was alone. In that mess of an apartment. “I don’t know why we don’t just keep her at your place. She’d probably be happier there anyway. Less clutter,” he briefly mentioned. They could get a cat house for her and everything-- she did have the room for it after all. Liau probably had the room, at one point in time, but with the amount of people living there now there was hardly space for the litter box or her pillow.
He paused at her command, waiting patiently for her to run off to the table and grab her things. She’d told him to stay put, and she briefly considered following her instead, but it didn’t make a lot of sense to do so. She’d be back fast enough. Once she was back, hand in his, he began to walk them out of the venue. “Yes. I’m Ready. Like I said, we just need to stop by the apartment so I can grab some things. I think the spare clothes I have at your place are all dirty now, so I need to get something to sleep in. And Peppermint, of course. Should I bring her leash in case?” He didn’t know what the in case was. They obviously weren’t going to be walking her in the middle of the night-- but maybe in the morning?
