The corpse had fell in what seemed like years, descending in the same speed to the soaring of his new found freedom and reaching its peak as ribbons of crimson rivers sprouted from the now cavern made into Danarius’s neck. Some great magister now reduced to a stain on the floor – or so his eager heart had told him, but what was the measure of victory? What could a stain help? A troubled brow pulled taut ever so briefly and released in tandem to the slump of shoulders. Revenge was all that he was, all that he had been and even now that was reduced to a memory.
