Hmm. I'm thinking of switching the story from second person to first person. I'm not far enough in that it would be crazy to go back and make those changes. And I think it might flow better.
Neat, okay, going ahead with the perspective shift because the more I think about it, the more I like it.
This is the fun/terrible part of putting out a story chapter by chapter - sometimes you decide to make a big change part way though and have to fix things! But it shouldn't be too much work to go back and edit the previous chapters to be from the "I" perspective instead of "you." I bet I can knock that out pretty quick and then get back to working on the in-progress chapter.
Also, that means the whole y/n business will go away, which was one of the biggest tripping points for me, honestly. The more I used it, the more it bugged me.
So! Going forward, our main character's name is going to be Heather :)

Hey, how are you? Sorry if this is a bother, but I was just wondering how the next chapter of A Lovely House of Bones is going? And when do you think it'll be ready? I really like your story and hope that you're still working on it 😊
Hi Anon! Not a bother at all, thank you for the check in!
I'm definitely still working on A Lovely House of Bones (and yay I'm glad to hear you like it!) The past year has just been a lot. I changed jobs a few times and have sorta been bouncing between being too busy, too stressed, or just in a weird artistic slump and unable to make the words go. And maaan I've felt bad about that as the months kept ticking by.
But! The good news is that the next chapter is about 75% written (and I think it might be longer than any previous chapters, so there's that.) I just have to finish it and go back and do some editing. I'm hoping to have it out sometime in May!
Item: The Memory Squeegee Rarity: ⏶ Common
What game would you erase from your memory just to experience it for the first time again?
Feed your dashboard by answering my question, blogger.
Ooo I bet from my blog you would expect me to say Undertale, and while I really do wish I could experience the joy and humor of Undertale again for the first time, my real answer is Blue Prince!
Blue Prince is truly the best puzzle game I've ever played (and I suppose I'm still playing it because I'm still trying to get the Day 1 and 1 Hour trophies to complete my collection.) But maaan it was so much fun going through, not knowing what anything was, what was important or not, taking note of everything, and feeling so smart when I figured something out! My fiance and I were both playing it side by side, both filling legal pads full of notes, and helping each other talk things through when we got stuck. It was the best time I've ever had playing a game!
Hello, I just want to say that you are slowly bringing me back to the Undertale fandom after not having thought about it for nearly 6 years!
Your writing and Art is so damn impressive, please don't ever forget that. I hope you continue to inspire other people to dabble into creativity, so we can continue to fight against AI!!
Alas, here are two random little character questions to explore I guess??;
1. Has anyone broken a bone? If so, where and how?
2. What is their greatest fear?
Thank you so much! 😁
Oh goodness, thank you! That's quite a compliment and I'm glad you're finding your way back to Undertale through some of my work. Dabbling creatively is so much fun and can be so fulfilling! (And yes, agreed. AI needs to be fought back against at every turn, especially in creative spheres, so the more people who give writing or drawing or any other form of art a try, the better!)
And as for your questions...
1) Broken Bones
There have been tons of broken bones. The more active skeletons (Papyrus, Blue, and Edge) have all broken several via fights, training/exercise accidents, or just being energetic, adventurous kids that hadn't learned their limits yet. I imagine between them they've broken most of the bones in their arms and fingers over the years, at least a few ribs, and several small miscellaneous bones. When you're as physically active as they are (especially when they were younger and still figuring things out) it's just bound to happen. Luckily they're also really good at healing so it doesn't keep them down for too long.
Their brothers aren't quite at prone to it. Red, obviously, started out the story with a broken leg, but aside from that he's kept it down to a few broken fingers and a broken wrist. (Be careful when working on machines, kids! Moving parts will grab you!) Sans is luckier and hasn't broken anything, though he's come close. And Stretch once broke an ankle absolutely eating shit after tripping over a rock and going down an embankment. Not his proudest moment.
2) Greatest Fear
This might be a bit of a cop-out, but every single skeleton would say their greatest fear is losing their brother. But that's the easy (tragic, obvious) answer. If we dig down a little and go for some secondary, more personal fears, we get...
Sans - He's scared of Frisk. He won't admit it. He won't show it. But yeah. Underneath whatever affection and positive memories he might have of the kid, he's scared of them. He's not even fully sure why.
Papyrus - He's scared of being forgotten. It's irrational, he knows it is, but sometimes he has nightmares where no one remembers who he is. Not his neighbors, not his friends, not even his own brother. And when he goes into his house, nothing of his is there. It's like being erased from the world and forced to live in it anyway, completely unmoored and alone.
Red - He'd rather die than admit it, but he's afraid of being abandoned. Of the day when he might be deemed too broken, too difficult, too much of a hassle and a liability to be worth keeping anymore. Of that look of cold disinterest and a back being turned for good. Of losing his brother, not because Edge died (his primary fear), but because Edge finally wised up and chose to leave him behind. The worst part is Red knows he would deserve it.
Edge - He's afraid of not being enough. Of failing to protect the people he cares about. Of there being a threat that he's not strong enough, smart enough, prepared or aware enough of to deal with, and having the consequences be disastrous and all his fault.
Blue - Anything to do with human ghosts and/or possession. He's A-okay with monster ghosts like the Blook family, but when he came to the surface and had his first exposure to the concept of human ghosts and demonic possession and stuff like that via horror movies... Nope. NOPE. It wigs him out so bad. He can't even be in the same room as that sort of thing. Hates the concept of haunted houses. Can't even sit through a movie trailer if one happens to be on TV. He will Leave.
Stretch - [Redacted for future story spoilers.] After that it's centipedes. He doesn't like skittery little things with too many legs that might suddenly just be there if he picks something up. No thanks.
Monster Food Theories (part 3)
@anvypie poked me about this post, so after a minor 5 year delay, here's part 3 of my food theories for Undertale! Because I like world-building and have far too much time to think about things at work haha.
In part 1 I covered why I believe monster food is most likely physical food infused with magic, and therefore is limited to what can be produced in the Underground. In part 2 I covered which foods the monsters have access to canonically (and also a few more they probably have in theory, though I have additional thoughts on that which I'll get into later.)
In this final part I'll cover my thoughts on the differences between monster and human food, as well as some updated ideas about the foods monsters have access to and why. But first, we have to back up and talk about two related theories that impact how this all works: The Timeline and Where Magic Comes From.
(This is gonna be a looong one, but I hope you enjoy the read!)
THE TIMELINE
This theory came together for me fairly recently, so I'm actually pretty excited to share my thoughts on it.
In Undertale, our sense for the timescale of the events of the game is rather fuzzy. We have the opening sequence, of course, which gives us a vague, fairy tale-esque intro.
So from the gate, it seems like we're supposed to guess the year the game takes place in is somewhere in the 2010s, with lore about a war that happened some unspecified time ago. How long ago isn't important to the story that happens with Frisk, so it doesn't come up again except to be hinted at in background details. We're free to speculate.
However, I think the game actually tells us upfront nearly exactly how much time the monsters have been trapped (at least by a certain point in their history), and we can make a further educated guess from there about when the events of Undertale itself actually take place.
This is my theory: The history lesson we're given at the start of the game is being told to us from the monster side of things. 201X isn't a date as humans measure it. It's a date according to monster timekeeping. And what would have been a big enough event to be the start of a brand new era of history for them, where they would have started counting years up from 0? When they got trapped underground.
Because it's later revealed that it's Chara, not Frisk, we see in the opening sequence, this theory would mean monsters had been trapped undergound for a little over 2000 years by the time Chara joined them.
And Chara was just the first to fall down there! We have no idea how long it took for the additional 6 humans plus Frisk to all find themselves in the Underground, but it feels likely there was something of a gap between them. At the very least, we know for certain there was a big enough gap between the 6th child and Frisk that most monsters didn't even recognize a human on sight anymore. That probably means at least a few decades. Long enough for most older monsters to forget and younger ones not to know what humans are like in person.
The only other number we have for guessing how long a gap there was between Chara and Frisk comes from Papyrus, who uses the online handle of COOLSKELETON95.
Now, the 95 could be a completely arbitrary number of course, but (at least when I was growing up), it was pretty common to slap your birth year onto the end of whatever online name you took if the one you originally intended to use was already taken.
If Papyrus is using the same naming convention, that tells us he was born in a year ending in 95. We don't have a solid grasp on how old he is (or if he even ages at the same rate as a human would - but that's a can of worms I'm not opening up.) For sake of ease and because he gives me the vibe of a very young adult, let's say that he's 20 during the events of Undertale. 2X95 + 20 gives us 2(1)15. That puts the earliest monster-counted year that the game can take place in at 2115, giving us a 100 year gap or so for all 8 human children to fall into the Underground. Seems reasonable enough to me.
So. According to this theory, monsters have been trapped in the Underground for a minimum of about 2100 years. A long time.
Why does this matter?
Well, that brings me to the next part.
WHERE MAGIC COMES FROM
Now we're really getting into pet theory territory here, but I'll do my best to make my case:
Monsters are the source of the world's magic.
This theory is pieced together from a few places.
First, there's how Flowey greets us in the Underground.
He talks to Frisk like they have no idea about combat magic. That this would have been the first time they would have seen something like this.
In the Snowdin Librarby, we can get some more information:
So humans can't do magic and don't even really know about it. It's something that belongs only to monsters.
But, this contradicts the opening sequence, right? This bit specifically:
We get some more context with the 10 year anniversary playthrough (which I believe Toby said wasn't canon, but.... damn it's hard to not to want it to be.) In this clip, Gerson has a lot of interesting things to say, including this line about what it cost humans to force monsters underground:
So that explains the discrepancy, right? Humans had magic at one point, but expended it to seal the monsters behind a powerful barrier.
But in that case, if humans don't innately have magic, where did they get their barrier-making magic from in the first place? Or if humans were once capable of having and using magic, why would draining their reserves in a one-time expenditure mean there wasn't any magic from that point onward? Why didn't their reserves refill?
It only makes sense if humans, incapable of having magic on their own, lost their access to the magic they were tapping into when they sealed monsterkind away.
Monsters were the source of magic in the world. Like the way that humans shed excess heat, or beans fix nitrogen in the soil naturally just through their biological process, monsters give off magic just by living.
And once that source of magic was sealed away behind a one-way barrier, like the way heat dissipates and nitrogen gets used up, the lingering magic in the rest of the world may have dissipated over time and been forgotten, relegated to legends and fantasy, just like the monsters themselves.
But in the Underground, now effectively a contained little bubble, monster magic would have build up. It would have concentrated in a way it would never have on the wider surface world. And from what we've seen of the Underground, it would make things weird.
The way I see it, it's highly unlikely humans just happened to decide to trap monsters in the one super magical cave system in the world. Sources are scare, but from what we're given, it seems like the Underground went through some shifts over time.
When monsters first arrived, it sounds like the cave system that would become the Underground was a fairly barren place of little note.
Pretty normal sounding. Not much to say, just a long walk through lots of earth. But then a bit later, things are different...
It changed! Things became more extreme in the Underground after monsters (and their magic) had been there for a while.
And when magic gets concentrated in a small space, say for 2000+ years, that space starts changing and taking on properties it wouldn't otherwise have. You start getting things like trees that can grow without sunlight. Crystals and water that glow. Flowers that echo.
Everything becomes shot through with concentrated magic. Including the food.
MONSTER FOOD
So here we are at the end of my theory. What makes monster food different from human food is the magic. Whatever crops and livestock they have in the Underground are saturated with it and have been for a long time, and this is likely what gives it the strange properties the game tells us about. Gesturing back to part one...
This is in addition to the special properties that some monster food seems to have, likely added on intentionally (like Sea Tea increasing the drinker's SPEED for one battle.) And of course, the ability for whatever crops and livestock they're raising to live without sunlight, which is crucial in their situation.
This works great for monsters, clearly. It seems like everyone's getting enough to eat, and even monsters without digestive systems can eat just fine when the food is so magic-laced it just gets absorbed immediately.
How would a human that fell into the Underground deal with this kind of diet long term? That I'm less sure of. Getting energy, aka calories is great and all, but humans evolved with complex gut biomes that we rely on in order to synthesize certain vitamins. If no food is reaching the gut and that biome starves and dies? Not sure what would happen to the human in question. It's possible that Chara and the humans that fell after them wouldn't have lasted long, even if monsters wanted to keep them all alive. Not to mention the whole lack of sunlight thing. A human would either need to absorb (and get a bit weird from) magic pretty fast to survive the Underground long-term, or else they would probably get sick and die from nutritional deficiencies before too long.
Now as for what food monsters have access to and why, I'm once again going to go out on a limb a bit and do some world-building theorizing based on what we know. In part 2 I covered the lists of foods we know the monsters have based on what we see in the game, and I extrapolated a list of base ingredients they might have access to from that. I'm not going to directly retread that territory. Instead I'm going to break the types of food I think monsters might have down into 3 categories: Starting foods, acquired foods, and synthesized foods.
Starting Foods (What they would have had when the barrier went up)
When the monsters were sealed away, they must have had some food on them, and not just ration type things that would be used up and that's that. There had to be the promise of being able to feed themselves or they never would have allowed themselves to be pushed into the Underground. Continuing to fight for even a small chance at life is better than willingly being imprisoned knowing you're sure to starve to death, right? So they had to have something. Either supplies from their own camps, or those provided by the humans to keep them from panicking at the last moment, or some combination of the two.
I'm guessing this is where a lot of their staple foods would have come from. Seeds and root vegetables that could be planted and propagated, animals that they had a chance at keeping alive and breeding. Things to give them hope that their prison would be survivable and not just a slightly delayed death sentence.
So, wheat, barley, potatoes. Apples. Chickens and goats (since we know they have access to eggs and milk of some kind, and both those animals can live off of weird scraps better than most.) Possibly other root vegetables too - things like carrots and onions.
The early years probably would have been very difficult, but clearly things got better with time as they began to make what they could out of their new home.
Acquired Foods (Additions gotten through luck and circumstance)
In part 2 I theorized that there would be some food potentially found within the caves, waiting for them. Edible mushrooms that might grow in the right conditions. Fish and shellfish in the streams and lakes. Snails. ... Moss? (Apparently there are some edible species.)
But over time, some additional food sources may have also found their way into the Underground. Whether that means animals finding their way in and getting stuck (like wild birds or rabbits that could potentially be caught and bred) or new seeds coming to them via the same route that brings human garbage to the dump. If couches and DVDS and old TVs made it down there, it's reasonable that food trash would too, and if they were very lucky, some of it might contain usable seeds.
That could very well be the source for some of their other crops. I'm looking at things like grapes, limes, cucumbers, tomatoes... Maybe even whole plants that got thrown out, which could mean salvageable leafy greens like spinach, or herbs if they're lucky.
There's also the possibility of being able to salvage whole food items. Packaged and sealed things that could survive the trip into the dump (or the fall Frisk took), like astronaut ice cream or chocolate.
And of course, over time with things getting all weird from the magic, new food sources might sort of... (hah) crop up. Water sausages, for example.
Aka cattails. While these plants do have edible parts (the rhizomes can be cooked like potatoes or processed into flour, tender young green growth can eaten in a few ways, and early flower spikes can be processed and eaten a bit like corn on the cob) none of this resembles how Sans was using them as replacements for hotdogs. Because, y'know...
UNLESS the plants got weird from magic, and plant corn dog delight is now a thing that exists in the world.
Synthesized Foods (Science time!)
The last category would only be possible once they have a really solid societal footing and start building up enough technology to start doing complex food science. Mettaton is the one that talks the most about this sort of thing. Only the finest artificial ingredients and chemicals and all that.
When it comes down to it, certain ingredients would be very hard if not impossible for monsters to have access to, so if you can't get the real thing, the next best move is to try to imitate it, right? Going off of salvaged samples, or honestly just trying to create flavors and textures wholesale from descriptions and guesswork, this is where they might get things like cinnamon, coffee, sweeteners, and other flavorings.
In this way, theoretically monsters could have access to just about any food! Or, I should say, they could make their version of anything if they wanted.
Between magic distorting things over time and having to do their best to replicate what they don't have access to, monster food (in addition to having all those magical properties mentioned earlier) might just be different from our version of things. Same names and similar visuals, but noticeably different tastes and textures than a human might expect when, say, getting a hamburger or eating spaghetti. They're just doing their best with what they've got. Results may vary.
And that's part of what I actually find very interesting. After all the trauma and generations of imprisonment at the hands of humans (who most of them seem to have complicated feelings about), monsters are still willing, if not eager, to adopt bits of human culture, like food. After all, most of the foods we see in Undertale would have been invented long after the monsters were sealed away. These aren't comfort foods handed down by generations, memories from a time before all this. These are novel recipes, brand new ideas they had to figure out how to recreate in order to try themselves. They wanted human food, despite how they might feel about humans, their conquerors. I just find that interesting.
Anyway, that's the end of my thoughts on monster food! And the timeline of how things played out, and where magic originates from. All big swings and pet theories, but things I find fun to think about and try to have make sense within the context of game canon.
Thanks for reading! ♥
So this is completely unrelated to Undertale, but I wanted to get the word out about a charity stream for Extra Life my partner and his friends are doing this weekend!
It's a cool thing they do every year -- 24 hours of good vibes as folks hang out, play games, and just have fun together.
I know money is tight for a lot of people, but if you're in a place to donate and looking for charities to give to, this is a good one. They appreciate every dollar they can raise, or if you can't donate, spreading the word or even just popping in on the stream for a bit is really appreciated too!
My partner's going to be doing a Blue Prince bingo segment around 7pm EST Saturday if you'd like to go root for him in particular!
A quick reblog because it's about to start, with a link for ease of access :)
I'm raising funds with #EXTRALIFE for kids treated at my Children's Miracle Network Hospitals! I need your help to reach my fundraising goal

GIFT/CHRISTMAS!!!
I don't have a favorite wdym-
Btw, stretch's ugly christmas sweater is just a regular christmas sweater with Edge's face scribbled on a piece of paper and taped on
The beauty of her face is beyond my wildest dreams~
Like cherry blossoms blooming on the mountains in early spriiings~
Aaand my usual Ronnie hate 🙂↕️
Rocking back and forth I HATE HIM. I HATE HIM I HATE HIM. HAAAAATE.
Anywhooo, that's all for now, byeee 💕
Oh my goodness thank you I love it!! The way you draw them is so soft and sweet, and I love your take on y/n! I adore that solo picture of her especially. And all those good good Stretch expressions! <3
Thank you everyone who sent in asks! I feel like they've got me in a good headspace to start tackling the actual story again, so I'm going to shift to putting most of my energy to that again! (Though don't worry if I didn't get to yours - I'm going to still pick away at those too! And future ones are always welcome!)
Something about edge, our little (well… not so little) outcast currently.
We know he’s very tight knit with his brother, pretty much droning over him every chance the guy gets. Though I am curious is there anyone else edge has developed a more… friendly relationship with?
Is there someone in the gaggle of skeletons he’s more inclined to help, says less nasty comments to, isn’t as irritated by?
Come to think of it - how does he rank all of the others from most tolerable to least? I’m partially convinced he has a secret journal about it lol!
Oh Edge... Our angry, struggling boy. (And lowkey my favorite to think about when it comes to interpersonal relationships so thank you for the ask!)
Edge definitely struggles with what we would call friendly behavior. The world he grew up in actively discouraged it, and Red reinforced that message to try to keep Edge safe. That doesn't mean that he doesn't have deep and complicated emotions, especially regarding the people he cares for! He's just... bad at conveying them in ways that people outside his culture would understand. Especially now that he's in this new, weird, soft world surrounded by monsters who seem to think and act a lot differently than he does. The whole situation makes him feel like a fish out of water.
Of the group, Edge gets along with Papyrus the best. They may be different in a lot of ways, but their shared core traits bring them together. Striving to be their very best, to look after their brothers, to be responsible and on top of everything... these are things they inherently understand and appreciate about each other. Plus, despite their difference in LV, Papyrus can not only hold his own against Edge in a fight, but actually beat him sometimes, which makes things fun and keeps Edge on his toes. He likes that.
Sans and Stretch rank about the same in how much they frustrate/worry/irritate Edge and he often finds himself wanting to shake some sense into them. He can see through Stretch's "I'm just a harmless stoner" act and knows he's more dangerous than he lets on. That makes the sloppy, slothful, self-depreciating way he carries himself all the more frustrating. Knowing that Stretch is an alternate version of himself, it's downright embarrassing. As for Sans, Edge views him as a weaker version of his brother, so there's some weird mixed feelings there, especially as he watches Sans overextend himself trying to take on a leadership role he's clearly not suited for. Edge respects that it's not his place to intervene (at least not until Sans starts fucking up badly enough that it might put him or Red in danger), so mostly he just keeps his commentary to snarking about lesser concerns and keeping a weather eye out.
Blue, however. Blue is the least tolerable to him by far. He gets on Edge's nerves in a way Edge can't fully explain. Maybe it's his childish demeanor, or the way he tries to treat everything as a game. Maybe it's how eager he is to interact with humans, or how he wants to make it seem like he and Edge are on the same level when he's clearly never been in a serious fight in his life. Edge doesn't know. He just knows Blue gets under his skin with amazing efficiency.
In honor of the season, what scary/spooky movie would the boys like to watch? Anything from Halloween themed kid movies to R rated horror?
Also, who would be in charge of decorating the house for Halloween? What would their pumpkin carving look like? From a scale of going all out and doing the barest minimum effort, how would you rank the boys’ costumes?
((You asked for prompts, so here’s my offering lol. Feel free to ignore any of the questions, I know I asked a lot. 😅))
Ooo perfect for the season indeed! Let's see... I think I can do all oft these in one go!
Decorating for Halloween would fall mostly to Papyrus (being an ambassador means trying his best to learn about and participate in human customs!) and Blue (who just likes being involved.) Most of it would be pretty standard party store stuff, nothing too spooky, but utilized liberally and enthusiastically. Their place would look like a TV sitcom Halloween party (their main frame of reference for how this all works.) Think fake spiderwebs and plastic spiders in the corners. Rubbers bats hanging from the ceiling. All manner of appropriately colored string lights. Tiny pumpkins everywhere. They would... probably feel conflicted about some of the skeleton decorations and and avoid them, because the thought of having a naked plastic guy just hanging out in your house is a little weird? But of course one shows up in anyway (courtesy of Stretch), switching rooms/poses/outfits every few days because that's just a fun way to mess with everyone. Speaking of messing with everyone, Red would find some of the more realistic scary decorations hilarious and sneak them into places where they're most likely to jump scare someone. Especially creepy baby dolls. Perfectly sized for hiding in cabinets or juuust peaking out from under a bed. After he gets Sans one too many times with those, Sans participates in decorating by leaving this guy outside Red's door:
Edge doesn't really get or like the whole procedure, so he's mostly just stoically enduring it until it's over.
Pumpkin carving and costumes are both something Papyrus would belligerently and cheerfully insist upon "TO GET THE FULL HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE!!"
He and Blue would of course put in the most effort. That's what they do! Make costumes to impress - original ideas, handmade with love! (And with enough structural integrity that they can be worn for weeks afterwards, because craft is a matter of pride.) Stretch would also have a lot going on, in the sense of it would just be a lot of look. Whether that means a curated outfit fashioned from his best cursed clothes, or a truly baffling array of items from a costume store, who can say. It would be a lot though. Sans and Red would both go the lazy route. Maybe skeleton print clothes, or perhaps just swapping outfits and using the opportunity to rag on each other through impersonations. Edge would, if forced to participate, put in some effort. Like a 6/10. If he has to dress up, he's going to make sure he looks good doing it. Nothing tacky of course. Nothing silly. But something that requires a suit and an accessory or two? He could manage that.
As for the pumpkin carving, that goes better than one might expect! It's messy, sure, but everyone involved is pretty good with their hands, has a healthy respect for knives, and at least a few have artistic streaks so this an activity they can all get through and have an array of at least decent jack-o-lanterns by the end. The kitchen (and their clothes and sinks from trying to wash off) would be in a pretty sorry state, though. When you haven't carved a pumpkin before, the quantity and slipperiness of pumpkin guts will come as a surprise!
Movies would be a really mixed bag for the boys. The family friendly kind would probably gather the largest number of watchers. Things like Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, and Ghostbusters would be mild and entertaining enough for everyone. For the more intense movies? Well... Red is the biggest horror fan. He finds them funny and has a great time watching anything from schlocky 80s films to the stuff that takes itself very seriously. Edge will usually join him and the both of them will pick apart all the ways the characters mess up and get themselves killed. Sans likes horror comedies but quietly dips when the more serious movies comes on. Stretch is about the same, though he'll stick around for creature features or anything with a sci-fi bent. Blue tries to watch some horror movies just to prove he can, but they tend to rattle him and he can't stand anything to do with hauntings or possession. The concepts freak him out too much. (It's fine when friendly, normal monsters do that sort of thing, but human ghosts or demons or whatever? Nope nope nope.) Papyrus doesn't care much for horror, but it doesn't bother him either? It's simply What You Watch during Halloween, so on the TV it goes! However, he, Red, and Edge would have a weird short-lived obsession with watching all the Saw movies just for the traps. There might even be a ranking system established for fairness, effectiveness, and creativity.
I love your fics greenheart!! But could you pleaseee post a link to your Ao3 account -
( ´△`) ? , I get so sad when I lose my open tabs and then I can't find your account again, but if you don't want to that's okay too!
Oh sure! Here you go!

Ok so like. I think I re-read ur fic maybe like ?? 4 times already? I'm really horrible with words but I need you to know I really appreciate your writing ... I have so many compliments I could say about it. I hope this isn't too much or anything but I made some art loosely based off when everyone was playing card games together as a thank you for your writing !!
Oh my goodness I love it, thank you!! This is such a sweet drawing! I love your interpretations of the characters and the colors make it look so soft!
And wow, I'm honored you reread my story so many times! Hopefully I can give you something new to read before the end of the year :D
I have been consumed by Stardew Valley, alas
What would the boys' opinions of it be, perhaps? Or if you'e never played, maybe what games would each of them like?
Alas! And oh well lol. A good game will do that to ya!
Blue - The biggest gamer by far. He'll try anything, but he likes side-scrolling platformers, fighting games, and first person shooters the best! Puzzles and racing games are good too! Anything that has lots of energy and keeps him moving, preferably with fun music and a challenge to it. Some of his all-time favorites are Kirby Superstar, Portal, Apex Legends, Smash Brothers Ultimate, any of the classic side-scroller Mario games, Mario Kart, Doom (original and 2016), Tetris... but that list is far from exhaustive! He prefers to play with friends when he can, so he's always trying to convince the others to pick up a controller with him!
Stretch - Not the biggest gamer, but he'll play with Blue sometimes, so he's at least competent at some racing, fighting, and fps games. On his own, Stretch might pick up something with an interesting story to it and not a lot of pressure to manage a health bar or inventory. Shorter story-based games like Eliza, Citizen Sleeper, Florence, and Night in the Woods appeal to him... Things that might not have a ton of replay value but have interesting characters and narratives that he wants to see through. He also likes cozy games like A Little to the Left, Suika Game, and Powerwash Simulator that he can play while high and not be punished if he's a little slow reacting.
Papyrus - Now here's someone that would really appreciate a resource-gathering farming sim like Stardew Valley! He likes a game he can really get into and feel proud about hard-won progress. Of course he makes sure he doesn't fall into it too hard because he's got a lot of other things on his plate, but it's something he looks forward to playing in his downtime! He's got a crazy efficient farm and loves the part where he gets to make friends with everyone in the game. All his villagers are at max hearts for sure. He'll play with Blue sometimes too, though he's really only interested in the racing and puzzle games. They slammed through Escape Simulator in like one day lol.
Sans - Not much of a gamer, but he and Papyrus grew up having Mario Kart, so he likes that one. Occasionally he'll join in when Blue asks for a Kart session.
Red - Also not much of a gamer, though sometimes he'll hang out and watch Blue play his shooters. He enjoyed the Doom playthroughs in particular. Good music. Lots of violence. Thumbs up.
Edge - Does Sudoku count?
Which skeleton would wear cursed looking shoes, like the high heel crocs? XD
Haha well! Stretch obviously is the group's connoisseur of cursed shoes. The drawing I did in 2020 for Inktober of him showing off part of his collection is still one of my favorites.
The man is just all about the reaction. In it for the bit. Can't stop won't stop being silly.
But that's of course the easy answer. If the question becomes who could you talk into what? Well...
Sans probably wouldn't go for shoes per se, but he would pick up the weirdest slippers with very little (if any) prompting. Slippers that look like fish, or condiment jars, or feet. The most embarrassingly ugly things he can find. Half the fun would be seeing how far he can get out of the house with them before Papyrus notices and insists he "PUT ON REAL SHOES AND NOT THOSE TROUT ABOMINATIONS."
He would love coddies.com.
Oh my god wait. Wait.
I take it back. THIS would be Sans's peak slipper.
They're loafers.
