I'm too witchy for the church girlies and too saved for the witch bitches. I don't fit in no where.
In place of the head matriarch, I cooked "Easter" dinner this evening. I don't know what ancestor came over me but I just cooked turkey wings with gravy, a pot of greens and candied yams with rice....and get this--everything turned out hot at the same time! My little millennial brain is feeling all warm an fuxxy lol. I would take a picture--Its absolutely beautiful. But man. I was sitting here thinking wow-this is something you cook when you love yourself.
I am quite impressed with myself.
Forgiveness?
If God doesn't forgive people who don't repent--why should we? Why are we forgiving people God won't even save? Name one story in the bible where God forgave somebody that wasn't sorry?
Maybe when God judges them he says "The people you offended forgave you. My son forgave you. But because you didn't repent and confess your sins to me, I will not forgive you."
But that's whack, it's like I forgave them for no reason. I guess it's possible to forgive people that are going to hell anyway. Oh well, forgive as an act of obedience. I suppose eternity is a long time to fry at excruciating temperatures right alongside someone you refused to forgive.
Should I pray for God's mercy? God literally will have mercy on them AFTER they repent. You can't pray that they repent because that's an act of the will and God isn't going to forgive them for fun or just because YOU prayed. Conditions have to be met first... and THEY must meet the conditions.
Inside the Witch’s Library: Mundane Magic by Molly Donlan
A few weeks ago I found myself at a loss. I am an ADHD witch who lives in a small space with my partner, who has diagnosed OCD. I’m sure you can imagine the challenges that brings 😅
So I came here for a little advice. My magical practice has continuously enriched & enhanced my life in all ways, so I figured someone on this site with hearth magic expertise might have some advice for me. Thus, Mundane Magic entered my life (I’d like to thank @our-marvel-universe again for this book rec).
This book has a great introduction explaining ADHD thought patterns and why certain tasks might be more difficult for folks with brains wired like mine. Off the jump, Donlan suggests adding novelty to mundane tasks to “trick” the brain into having more fun, and using the Moon & Earth cycles to keep track of deep-cleaning chores.
The rest of the book is broken up into sections based on different areas of a typical Western home. There are spell ideas, but what I love the most were the ways of adding magic/whimsy/novelty to home-keeping tasks. While nothing I read was revolutionary, just the information being organized in this way has had me reaching for this book almost daily since initially reading though it.
Yes, there are spell ideas, but what really resonated with me was the information on how certain areas of the home could influence my magical life. The bed, for example, I hadn’t realized could make me feel stuck or groggy in the mornings if it wasn’t being regularly energetically cleansed. A simple solution for me was a magical cleansing pillow spray I made and have been using daily, in between weekly washes.
This book has really helped me decontextualize cleaning and has helped the magic in my home flow with less restrictions. And I can feel the spiritual benefits! My hearth spirits have been much more lively, and I’ve felt their involvement in my daily chores too, helping me out.
I’m really grateful I found a resource like this, from a mundane perspective and a magical. I highly recommend this book for other ADHD witches or anyone who’s learning to keep a home for the first time.

Saving for later because I saw this book and wasn't sure if I should get it or not...brb
questions to ask when developing your practice
(Art by John Bauer)
A lot of beginners have asked me in the past about how witchcraft works, if the mechanics behind spell would work, which pantheon to work with, which deity to follow, and what they should believe. I believe that religion is ultimately a very personal experience, as we each have different ways to reach towards something beyond us. I think that telling someone else what to believe or how to practice is not just robbing someone of the spiritual experience of discovering their own beliefs, but also flat-out dangerous and controlling. I strongly believe that one shouldn't find an established practice and try to force their beliefs to align with it, but instead should self-reflect upon their naturally-held beliefs and find a practice that aligns with them. So instead, I like to provide a list of questions that scratch just the tip of the iceberg of establishing a foundation for your belief system. I don't think that reflection should end at this short list of questions, and that you should continue to reflect upon your belief systems beyond this. I do also want to emphasize that your foundational belief system is allowed to change over time with new experiences.
How does magic/witchcraft work? Is it through spirits and the agency of the materials you're working with? Is it through symbolic recreation? Or something else?
Is magical power internal or external to you? Or in other words, does the ability of magic to work come from the strength of an individual, or outside forces?
Why does spoken word have power? Why do materials have correspondences, where do they come from, and how do they perform work? Do thoughts/intentions have power, and why?
If you believe in deities, how do you think they exist? Representations of forces of nature? Thoughtforms/created by people's beliefs in them? Independent spirits that are inherently divine? Local spirits that have been elevated through belief/relationships? Something else?
Do you believe that there's one true religion? That religions can coexist? If you believe that they can coexist, do you intend to follow more than one? If so, how would could you practice those multiple religions while remaining culturally sensitive to both? Are different gods faces of each other, or entirely separate? How do those belief systems compliment each other? Where are there differences, and how do you understand those differences?
Outside of deities, do you believe in spirits? Do you believe that spirits can impact the world around us? Do you have interest in interacting with spirits? Why would motivate a person to work with spirits?
How involved are spirits v. deities in our lives? Would you turn to one over the other for various things? How might different types of beings be interacted with differently in your practice?
Do you believe that the world around you is inherently alive, beyond things/beings understand to be biologically living? How do you define life? What determines what has a spirit or soul?
What's motivating you to pursue polytheism and/or a magical practice? What's important to you when finding a path? Ancestral or cultural re/connection? Pre-existing related interests? Are there certain values you want your practice to align with? Is there something you don't want your practice to look like?
Where do you already find divinity and/or magic around you? What makes you feel the most connected to divinity/magic?
The Spring Equinox is just around the corner. Thought it would be great and helpful to make a post about some of my favorite things. Making lists and decorations. Some fun things eveyone should do for this coming holiday.
Ideas for spring cleaning to help tailor your own list, whether it be digital, calendar, planner, or on a cork board. A clean house makes for clean energy. Make a ritual out of it.
Also a perfect time to do something new or add something to your self-care routine. Make it match the season! Bless you all be friends and family 🔅💠🔆
Leo meaning in esoteric astrology
LEO is not a king over people.. leo is king over himself, it means leo control his desires, feelings and thoughts.
In estoeric astrology, leo is ruled by the sun ( same in traditional astrology ).
Sun in esoteric it symbolize “heart”.
Leo in MEDICAL ASTROLOGY rule “heart”.
In a lower way, leo want attention, validations, always want to be number 1, care about people’s opinion and their validations.
In a higher way, leo start to understand their talents, themselves, their soul.
Then .. leo turn from “i’m king over everyone” TO “i am that, and that is me”. It means leo’s pride and ego melts ..
“ i am that, and that is me”. An example for this sentence :
Imagine there is a “lamp”.
If the lamp can talk it will say “i am the queen of lights, i am the one who illuminates the place”.
This is the “i am the king over people”.
BUT when the lamp understand that “the light comes from electricity” it will say ( the lamp is that “electricity” and that “electricity” is the one .. let me shine”.
Leo is ruled by sun in traditional and esoteric astrology ..
Sun in esoteric astrology is NOT = I AM.
Sun in esoteric astrology is = the bright spirit within matter.
Leo is the 5th sign of the 12th zodiac signs.
Leo is before virgo and libra zodiac signs.
Why?
Because you need to know who you are, how to express yourself, the real meaning of validations ( leo )
BEFORE you serve, organize, improving your lifestyle (virgo)
And before you enter relationships and having social life ( libra ).
That’s why leo is before virgo and libra zodiac signs.
Yes, leo and sun represents ego. Ego is a fake and delusional thing! But it’s doesn’t mean that ego is not effective, EGO is a TEMPORARY IDENTITY.
Ego / pride is like : role in a theater, identify in a fake name and fake role for the theater, having a character in this theater temporary.
The illusion here is = thinking that you’re just that role and sticking in this fake role.
It’s like wearing a mask then dropping it off.
After the beginning of individual identity ( aries ).
After building self-values, values and material security ( taurus ).
After learning ( gemini ).
After the formation of roots, emotional security, safety, internal world ( cancer ).
Then LEO will come .. “who am i? How can i express myself? What’s my talents?”
Cancer focus on internal world, then leo will begin to show this internal world externally.
Leo is before virgo, why?
Because after you know yourself, expressing yoursef, become self-aware, be the king of ur life.. you need to organize and improving your life
Leo = this is me, this is my talents.
Virgo = ok, then i will improve it.
Why leo is before libra?
Because you can’t get into relationships, having a social life and you don’t know who u are. You can’t get into relationships and you let your ego controls you.
Habits that negatively impact your nervous system
Constant stimulation (phone, noise, multitasking) = Keeps your body in a low grade stress state
Doomscrolling & overconsuming information= Trains your brain to expect chaos and urgency
Irregular sleep schedule= Disrupts your circadian rhythm and hormone balance
Caffeine on an empty stomach= Spikes cortisol and increases anxiety
Suppressing emotions= Stores stress in the body instead of releasing it
Overcommitting & people pleasing= Signals to your body that you’re never safe to rest
Lack of sunlight & nature= Dysregulates your internal clock and mood
High intensity workouts every day= Keeps your nervous system in fight or flight
Negative self talk= Your brain doesn’t know the difference between thought and reality
Eating in a rush or stressed= Impacts digestion and signals danger to the body
Not taking breaks / constant productivity= Prevents your system from ever down regulating
Unresolved stress & chronic overthinking= Keeps your body stuck in survival
To all my herbalist, healers and green witches: This a phenomenal book. And I wanted it sooo bad but I could not pass up Barbara G Walker's Encyclopedia (hell at $2.99 I'll probably still get it-I just won't be able to cover it with my kindle points). Anyway, the kindle book is selling for pennies on Amazon right now.
I cannot believe I just got this [kindle] book on Amazon for .99! If you're into goddess history, culture and religion you NEED this book. It is $3.99 on Amazon.com right now. I used my 3 kindle points to get this. There is another book that I really wanted but I could NOT pass this one up.
Mint tea is amazing for debloat and whenever I feel bloated on my period or something I just drink some mint tea and I feel better right away. Also mint is great for digestive discomfort. If you feel really uncomfortable in your abdomen or you feel really sick mint tea is really a healing tea. It does wonders.
My favorite thing about lavender is how it can calm me down. I think lavender flowers look beautiful in your home and their purple color is just beautiful. Lavender can really calm you down. If you ever feel stressed, nervous or angry I recommend lavender tea or lavender scent.
Chamomile how I love chamomile tea. It helps me with stress, my mood is better and of course I sleep better so every night before going to bed I make myself a cup of chamomile tea and I sleep like a baby. It's good. It tastes great and it makes me feel happy.
If you ever wondered why grandma added ginger to your tea when you felt sick and nauseous there's a reason. It helps with stomach cramps and therefore it can help ease the tension in your gut and you won't throw up so much.
And finally something not everyone is talking about enough. Red clover. It helps with high hormones. If you are going through puberty or you are having mood swings it can be because of hormones. You can find good tea with red clover in and it can help. It can smooth your heart work, lower your blood sugar and even help with menopause.
I'm not a doctor so therefore I only written what I was thought and what I know. For any reason if you want to take some random plants and eat them please don't. First you need to read about said herbs and plants since some can be dangerous. If you want more answers or something go look in the books. Plants are not like paint you can mix.

It’s the little things 💞
Google it
I decided to get back into my plant personality studies for reals this time, so I visited the local library to find some books to peruse. And OMFG-what a disappointment.
The library in this neighborhood is so ass bro lmao. There's like three books and then a huge section for teens and kids. I was pissed when I left out of there. They don't even have recognizable titles from semi-famous authors. Nor do they have subject matter books that you can like research and nerd out on. Most libraries at least have those "For Dummies" books--they didn't even have that. They have zero any occult books. NOTHING.
What the faaaaaack!
I want to read actual books and do research the old school way for this topic and the idea of getting all of my research from google makes my skin crawl.
Woosah.
Anyway, you know what? I am the queen of telling people to study to show thyself approved which is a sister to start where you are. Afterall, 6 months from now--a trash library will be a dim excuse.
So, Google it is.
Speaking of reading books. I am halfway through "The Great Cosmic Mother". I am quite proud of myself-especially as someone with a ton of criticisms about it and who initially found it a slow, nauseating read.
Now that I have dug my heels in to read it I can say my worldview is changing. And I feel like EVERYBODY EVERYWHERE is lying to me about everything all the time. I'm not sure what to do with that yet.
If I had to recommend things for your nighttime routine, they would be 🌌✨
- Dim lights 1-2 hours before bed
- Stop screens or use blue light filters
- Take a warm shower or bath
- Drink herbal tea (chamomile, lemon balm)
- Stretch
- Legs up on the wall for 5-10 minutes
- Journal
- Read a few pages of a book
- Keep room cool and dark
- Take magnesium
- Go to bed at the same time each night
- Avoid heavy meals late at night
- Reflect on 3 good things from the day
This is actually a good idea. I'm about to go make myself some chamomile tea.
