i truly wish more people acknowledged dahlia as a tragic character rather than quickly dismissing the nuances of her in favour of portraying her as no more than ‘heartless and irredeemably pure evil’ i’ve already written multiple think pieces surrounding her but i’ll always firmly stand by my belief that she’s the most. other than iris’ conversation with phoenix and dahlia’s own account even the writers themselves didn’t put nearly enough effort into portraying her that way which is such a sabotage and compared to who they instead gave those ounces of sympathy to, furthermore culprits like godot and simeon are allowed to be given more room for sympathy but the same can’t be extended to dahlia.
