despite mistakes iâve made in the past i still think the 12 year old version of me would think im cool as shit
now more than ever, it is imperative that you spend time with people you love and doing things that you love. be prepared but please please please don't dwell on things that have yet to happen. you have to have hope for a better future in order to build one. it's gonna be okay. we're gonna make it. i love you.
i think you should be able to emoji react to MyChart lab results
this feels like a sensitivity training for how to not commit micro aggressions against vampires in your workplace
i bring a "they shouldnt have that wild animal in their house" sort of vibe to the conversation that enjoyers of cute animal videos dont really like
Need minimum 12 hours a day of do my own thang time
friendly reminder it's not "20% of germany" that voted for fascists, or italians that voted for meloni, or france for the far right
it's 20% of VOTERS
so, once again, i am here telling you ABSTENTIONISM is the problem. and it always fucking is.
people who feel demotivated, underrepresented, or adhere to some purity culture where it's the revolution or nothing.
THAT is the fucking problem. you get your head out of your ass and you fucking vote
This.
As soon as I turned 18 I registered to vote. I couldnât legally get married anywhere in the U.S. because same sex marriage wasnât legal. Homosexuals couldnât openly serve in the military. Sodomy laws were still on the books. The far right was espousing âfamily valuesâ rhetoric. AIDs had devastated the gay community.
But I could vote. And so I did and still do.
Same sex marriage is now legal, as is serving openly in the military. Sodomy laws are mostly gone or not enforced. AIDS is no longer a death sentence for all it touches.
However access to safe, legal abortions is limited and disappearing. Transphobia is rising as is a wave of hate for anyone who is not white, not cis, not straight, not a native English speaker, not a Christian.
But I can vote. And so I will keep voting. In local elections and National elections.
Donât give up.
Donât let them win.
We are stronger together.
Vote.
