The results of my experimentation with Cafe Bustelo's instant espresso at the local cafe.

The Humble Americano

ask for a small hot water

mix in ~1 tbsp Cafe Bustelo

top with the freely provided sugar and half & half

Cons:

very watery

makes you sad

The Chaotic Coffee

procure a small hot water filled 1/3rd full

Add ~1 tbsp Cafe Bustelo. Stir until the barista’s back is turned

In one swift motion, pour the half & half to fill the cup

Add sugar to taste

Cons:

your coffee is cold

The Modest Mocha

obtain small hot water filled ~3/4ths

let a palm full of chocolate chips melt in the water

Stir vigorously to incorporate the chocolate completely

Add ~1 tbsp Cafe Bustelo

Top with half & half

No cons, just a really good drink.

The Conceded Coffee

purchase a small hot water filled 2/3rds with your preferred add-on syrup

Mix in ~1 tbsp Cafe Bustelo

Pour in desired amount of half & half

Cons:

price may vary

The caffeine in instant coffee doesn’t seem real. It must have dissipated into the vacuum.

Cafe Bustelo mocha

Melted the chocolate in the hot water and then added the Cafe Bustelo with some half & half. Tastes like sipping chocolate met an americano.

this might be better than a knife for travel. Like a portable mandoline. It’s just as simple to clean, just as cheap and dull but you’ll get consistent slices with no need for a cutting surface. I got to get one to try out

Cheese is compressible. To compensate for this manufacturers have made cheese slicer cutting thickness thinner than you might think. Cutting tomatoes with one gives you very thin slices and takes significantly longer.
