I think the worst thing about the downfall of Five is so many people falsely thinking that he wanted to stop the apocalypse just to save the world, because not only is that a boring and overdone plot, its also entirely untrue.

Five only wanted to stop the apocalypse to save his siblings, he couldn't give less of a fuck about saving the world.

If he was able to find someway for him and his siblings to live in peace without something happening to fuck it all up or dumb timeline rules he'd have to follow, he would sacrifice a million worlds to get that chance.

He only wanted to protect the only people who ever cared about him, no matter how silly or ridiculous they may be or how much they drive him crazy.

Five just wanted them to be safe.

OK but I do genuinely believe we need to push for something like this before it's too late - and not just in digital spaces. We should have the right to peace and quiet from advertising. There should be more limits on how much and where we get advertising because otherwise it'll just become a creep of more and more until every fucking public space is lit with several billboards blasting us with ads, and the walls between spaces lined with ads, and our commutes filled with ads, and local parks sponsored by corporations to offset the cost of local councils, and so on and on and on and on. No. I need quiet. I need spaces where ads cannot touch me.

There are places working on it! Here's some:

Grenoble, France, in 2014 banned any new billboards and took down the city owned ones in a step towards de-advertizing public spaces. They swapped out the billboards with trees btw!

The city of Nantes in western France has recently banned most electronic billboards, dismantling 110 in one night. The municipality is also cutting digital advertising in shop windows and on the public transport system. It’s also banned all advertising near schools. Which is apart of Frances over all goal to reduce visual noise and light.

In 2009, Chennai, India prohibiting billboards, digital banners and placards in public spaces.

São Paulo Brazil created a law "Lei Cidade Limpa" (Portuguese for clean city law) in 2006

Several states, namely Maine, Vermont, Hawaii, and Alaska have banned Billboards and have been working on other electronic ad bans.

So just know these kinda policies are possible! Whether your in Europe where the UN is working on anti-Ad legislation, in the US, or South America!

yeah so sloane and luther found each other, got remarried, and luther is the world's greatest stripper and sloane is a physicist. diego and lila went to couple's counseling and are doing better than ever. diego quit his UPS job and started a food truck selling street tacos. lila teaches mixed martial arts at a gym. allison is continuing to pursue her passion for acting and raising claire. maybe she and ray even find each other again. klaus falls in love again. he misses dave, but not everything can work out. he overcomes his hypochondria and can have fun again. five retires. he's going to learn who he is without constantly having to be on a mission. ben... is honestly probably still a bit of a selfish asshole, but he starts working on himself. maybe he gets some other kind of tech or salesman job. viktor may have been dumped by every woman in town but that doesn't mean there aren't any men for him to date. he's got his bar and his life, his violin, and maybe a dog or cat.

they're all adults, finally. they get together enough to never miss each other, but not too much so they all get annoyed with each other. with reginald dead and their powers gone, they can all finally start to move on from the past. they're no longer the children they used to be. they no longer have to be defined by their childhood and where they came from.
