Hi, so I have some new followers and I welcome everybody, but please be aware the following things:

This is fanart blog. I won’t elaborate any social or political or any kind of real world issues.

I am an adult person. I am like... old. If you are not comfortable to follow a 30+ person as a minor that’s ok. 

I am a white person living in Eastern Europe. This means I am not necessarily aware of every cultural or social common knowledge you may consider default in your country.  Please don’t be rude if I am not representing something like you would. 

This blog is LGBTQ+ safe, I am a queer person myself, but that doesn’t mean I want to bedate about related topics or want to talk about it at all.

English is my  second language so there can be words and phrases that I just don’t understand and will ask you to  paraphrase.

My writing skills are pretty weak. I will have a lot of typos. I am super embarrassed by this but I try my best to always triple check everything.

Penciled/Partridge

Penciling is a pattern of two to four black lines following the contour of the feathers on either a gold or silver (white) base. The dark brahma variety is silver penciled. In most breeds, gold penciled is called partridge. Adding blue or lavender dilution genes dilutes the black to a shade of grey. Dilution of gold in addition to the lavender gene results in a color commonly referred to as Isabel/Isabella

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head.

I love your works and I'm always in awe for how fluffy the animals look. What tecnique you use to shade fur? Do you use custom brushes (incase you do them in digital) or it's just a particular tecnique that works?

You can check out my fur brushes on my Gumroad page but any bristly brush will be fine for painting fur. My approach depends on the lenght and texture, short fur really only needs a few indications and for long fur it's best to simplify into tufts or clumps instead of painting individual strands.
