Okay, after the post I just reblogged, I've realised how bad stylised marvel content is at depicting Fitz- so I thought I would show and rank some other depictions of him (bearing in mind I'm not into comics much so my knowledge is limited and I can't find the sources of most of these for the life of me)
So strap in bc I found some that I haven't even seen before

Okay, first up. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THEY'D BEEN ANIMATED (I think it's only one episode in the amazing spideman animated show but still)
And secondly: honestly, pretty cute, the mannerisms are great, he's wearing one of his iconic little cardigans, and the hair is pretty much spot on, exactly how I'd expect him to appear in this style. Haven't found any clips yet to see if he has a decent voice but I'm just gonna have faith and say 9/10

Okay this one isn't for an official comic but it is by one of the official artists and was apparently for Iain's birthday. Captures his likeness fairly well, 8/10 (bonus points for the monkey)

Okay a lot of the comic covers are pretty cool so I'm only going to include one. I think the vibe is close for this one, the outfit is fine, but the features are very much lost in this style, 6/10 (again, bonus points for the monkey)

And we gotta talk about Lego Fitz:
Like honestly. Could be worse, but I suppose you can make anyone look generically okay with lego. the hair is not great, the pose is... interesting. And of course the hair is the main issue here, so 5/10
And finally:
MY BOY! Cute little face, hair is the right texture and colour, and big, beautiful blue eyes. While the animated version boasts accuracy, this one specialises in just being a cute adaptation with it's own spin. I'm a little biased, but 10/10 on this one. It was even my pfp on discord for a while
So to conclude, I think while there are a lot of bad versions of Fitz, there are a couple to like, and even some to love. Though, if there's one thing I would love to see, it's a comic or animated depiction of Fitz past season 1 looks. Like, still his cute and awkward self, but with a bit more experience and some stubble
One of the many stupid feelings humans are capable of having is the private, repulsive rage of seeing someone getting support and sympathy for a problem no one helped you with when you were having it, either because you didnât have anyone or because it never occurred to you that you could ask for help. There's something about Fitz, who just suffered a massive mental break and is struggling with motor controls, faking Skye's blood tests and comforting her after she went through arguably the most traumatic event in her life, responding to her "there's something very wrong with me" with "no, you're just different now, and there's nothing wrong with that" that means so much to me
I sat with a crying second grader today. (The age range is outside my wheelhouse but I was the most convenient adult.) He was crying, the other adults said, because his brother took a phone he was playing on. âPhone addicted,â everybody said. âIf he would get up and play games with the other kids he wouldnât be crying.â

But people will seriously not listen to kids crying over seemingly minor things because on the surface it looks like a tantrum. If kids are given the space to articulate themselves they often will.
Iâve found that if a child is capable of having a conversation (that is, old enough to speak and express themselves, not injured or upset so badly that they literally cannot stop crying, and not behaving violently), then 90% of the time their reason for being upset is legitimate, or at least understandable.
Please remember that this also applies to teenagers and preteens, they might be acting like a knowitall who doesnât give a shit, or a first class jerk, but chances are fair they feel like shit for one reason or another and adults just chalk it up to teenage angst instead

Bc what the writers do, in regards to a "wolf in the herd", is draw all suspicion off him by having him screw up the past episode. By killing the fake Clairvoyant, "for Skye", the other characters treat him accordingly: he's locked up. He's in a cell when the others learn about HYDRA, and given what he just did, no one (characters & audience) is questioning whether he's really S.H.I.E.L.D.
And so we point fingers at everyone else. Coulson is an obvious no, and unless Skye feels like switching again, she's a no. May feels far too obvious, and Fitz seems as far removed from HYDRA as possible
In fact, the one we all start to suspect is Trip. He only showed up a few episodes ago, and he suddenly gets along with everyone. Not only did he train under Garrett, but he's the one who's with Simmons at the Hub. And everyone is being secretive, everyone's anxious, and Trip certainly doesn't plan on being taken out. Since it's told largely from Simmons' pov during her parts, we're the ones seeing her fear, her cautiousness. Her whole "I can't trust anyone" thing. Trip seems suspicious
And he seems suspicious enough that we don't see the true wolf, the one who's been with the team the whole time
Why does Marvel have this amnesia towards their projects pre Disney plus? Every year theyâre talking about âgayest tv show yetâ or âfirst gay characterâ like they didnât have Karolina and Nico from Runaways in 2017 in an explicitly canon lesbian relationship.
And the fans are just as bad. The incels calling everything woke DEI nonsense when marvels shows c.2013-2019 were probably the best tv marvel has put out while also having quite diverse stories.
Now they purposely rate any female lead project poorly, purely because they expect less from women. But shows like Jessica Jones, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D were really popular when airing.
Marvel used to focus on Black stories, have disabled/ neurodivergent characters, explicitly queer charcters, conversations about rape and PTSD and more! So why have they forgotten that they made these high quality shows? And why are the fans now having such a negative reaction to anything thatâs not white male lead?
I can buy the concept of romance existing but the social song and dance of Dating specifically is so, like. Ok. So we're all just expected to walk around performing desirability & having coffee with people you find mildly interesting & Hopefully you will Feel Something for one of them. & if you keep it up long enough you can get legally bound and financially dependent on each other and have kids or something, not because you want them but because you're so fucking normal. This is supposed to be your #1 priority in life btw. Are you insane?
And people will be like "you'll never be happy if you don't successfully have coffee with someone you think is mildly interesting, it's so sad that you're not having coffee with someone you think is mildly interesting" & I'm sitting here like I don't think that's true actually I think I'm doing pretty good.
