This is how they fix the fight. The awful fight, and the losing each other, and the leaving each other behind. They go back to the only way they know to say they still need each other: Aziraphale asks for a miracle: to be allowed to be saved instead of savior, helpless instead of helper, loved instead of lover. To be soft and to be valued for that. And Crowley does it—and is allowed to be gentle instead of vicious, kind instead of cold, protective instead of destructive. To be loving and to be valued for that.

After this Crowley can invite Aziraphale back to their own side, and Aziraphale can join him there. But first they have to practice taking care of each other, remember how it works, that it still works, even at the end of the world. And they have to do it with no denials and no apologies.

everyone else is like "oh we gotta stay inside the most secure places possible and never leave" and I'll be storming through the wastelands in my bloodstained suit of armor, blasting the Doom (2016) OST and plowing my way through waves of the undead. one of them tries to bite me but his shitty rotting teeth don't even leave a dent in my armor before I turn his head into paste. I'll be unstoppable until I die of dehydration or something like an idiot
