Watching my bi friendsâ identities get erased when theyâre in m/f relationships makes me think itâs even MORE important to write bi characters in m/f relationships and then be REALLY BLATANT about the fact that one or both of them is bi.
This is the bare minimum of decent human behavior for ANY gender. If you are an adult and someone who is not an adult wants to have a relationship with you, it is your duty to, at bare minimum, turn them away.
and like... having crushes on adults is a Normal Adolescent Thing, but it doesnât mean theyâre ready for--or for that matter, want--an actual relationship with said adult. itâs a goddamn developmental phase for kids working out their sexuality, and treating it as a chance to get laid is fucking monstrous.
Recommended tactics to deal with a child hitting on you:

âbuddyâ
inform a friend to ensure youâre never left alone with them
refer to own age in conversation
âyeah, I know I look young, but you wouldnât BELIEVE how awkward it is being mistakenly hit on by a teenager!â

And as a reminder, teenagers often have crushes on older and/or unavailable people like celebrities precisely because psychologically/emotionally theyâre not ready to have a relationship. On a subconscious level, fantasizing about someone you know you canât be with allows you to experiment with your emotions in a safe way. And obviously an adult taking advantage of that will disrupt the entire thing.

I always found it a bit odd. Hilarious, but it raised too many questions. When did Steve make these? Why did Steve make these? How did he manage to be so cheesy and overly sincere knowing how much crap he would get from the other Avengers for it?
Well, today my sister told me her headcanon. Picture the scene. Steve leans on the back of a chair, as above. Peter immediately launches into âSo, you got detentionâŠâ. Cap blinks. Peter awkwardly tries to explain. It turns out Cap has no idea what videos he means, and neither do any of the other Avengers.
So they get in touch with the company who made them, and they swear blind that it was really the real Captain America, and that it all his idea. That he came in and said how much he wanted to help the youth of today.And the Avengers all lose it because someone is running around doing an unbelievably good impression of Captain America, they could have destroyed his reputation, they could have infiltrated the Avengers; and instead all they are apparently using it for is to make silly, embarrassing videos.
Itâs completely baffling. Who could possibly be behind it all?

One thing I have not seen mentioned in light of this statement, perhaps because it's just well known or perhaps because it's been forgotten, is that Radcliffe has dealt with this before. About 10 years ago his friendship with a trans musician named Our Lady J became known to the tabloids. They immediately published sensational articles calling her a transvestite and a drag queen (she was not), and speculating about the nature of their relationship. He responded to insinuating questions by simply being aggressively positive about what a great musician and good friend she was. They did at least one interview together for a queer magazine. This at a time when trans people were even more marginalized than now, and when he as an actor was finishing Harry Potter and under a lot of pressure to ~manage his image~ as he transitioned to an adult career.
TL;DR - Radcliffe has a record of not just saying nice things, but supporting trans people in his life.

Sheâs technically a monster too. She might not look it at first glance and seems mostly human, but it isnât deniable even despite her looks compared to the other monsters.Â
But she realizes that she is still not like the rest of the monsters either and may not have entirely the same experiences as them, which is why she feels that she might not belong to or deserve to go to the support group. By sometimes passing as human, she feels she isnât worthy of the space.Â
The sad reality though is even though sheâs mostly human in appearance, that tail she has undeniably would still cause her some struggle. Humans are still gonna look at that tail and think sheâs a freak. There are probably still accommodations she needs because of the tail that she may still struggle to have access to. Even if it is just the tail, that tail is still enough to other her from humans and cause her problems and discrimination.Â
She should get to belong in that support group even if she gets told sheâs not monster âenoughâ. She still shares some of the same struggles as them that are caused by being a monster, and needs support.Â
This is an excellent demonstration of the flaws in the concept of passing privilege. Bravo to the artist.Â

i live with my mom and my 3 siblings (2 teenagers and 1 preschooler) and weve been in pretty dire financial straits since early this year because of covid and my mom getting sick. weve been staying afloat for the most part, but now because of the eviction we have to find a new place that can fit us AND come up with the money to cover move-in costs - which, due to the high cost of living in our area, will likely be somewhere in the $4000-6000 range.
our state currently has a moratorium on evictions but that ends on the 31st, and our eviction is scheduled for the day after. i think our landlord deliberately planned it to fall on that day, and will be able to go through with forcibly ejecting us from the house as it falls past the end of the moratorium. weâre really scared and dont know whats going to happen from here.
