Natural Nails

Accessory nails for teen, young adult, adult, and elder sims, both male and female, categorized as gloves in Create-A-Sim. They have two channels, the nail body and the nail tip, and they each come with three presets and custom thumbnails. These are Aikea Guinea’s Short Nails mesh retextured using NataliS’ men’s nails as a base. I didn’t originally make these with the intention of sharing, but I like how they turned out and I thought perhaps someone else might enjoy them too. :)

Base game compatible, for teen-elder females, custom thumbnails, compressorized, optimized, etc.

safety links for downloading cc

as someone who dls a lot of cc from a lot of places, i’ve had to take a LOT of precaution when it comes to safety online for those pesky short links that infect ur computer with random garbage. here are the extensions i personally use to bypass most shitty linkage

disclaimer: please don’t come to me and tell me im taking money from creators by using these extensions. if you want to click on adfly links, go ahead! this is just for the people who don’t. also, don’t take these links as a get out of jail free card for online safety. people are crafty. use common sense to avoid getting a virus. this will just lower your chances of getting a virus, or just save you some annoyance.

adblock plus- p much the most popular extension out there. i use it on all sites even outside of cc downloading. sadly a lot of sites are taking action against adblock, adding counters to their links, or even keeping you from accessing the site at all. it’s easy to disable the extension for single sites though, or you can just leave the site altogether. still, adblock is incredibly useful!

the rest of these extensions are for the google chrome webstore. im sure there are similar extensions for whatever browser you use though. just check your browser’s webstore and im sure you’ll find similar, or you could just switch to google chrome

ad(fly) skipper - bypasses adfly’s counter and takes you straight to your download

short.est skipper - same deal as the last one, and currently my most useful extension, since a lot of creators are using short.est instead of ad.fly lately. short.est is annoying because it has a lot of different redirect urls it can take you to with different domains, but the devs of the extension were good about blocking most, if not all, of the domains short.est uses so it’ll skip it no matter what.

tsr ad skipper - bypasses tsr’s countdown. it’s not necessarily a safety extension, just saves you time and keeps tsr from being more annoying than it has to be.

I have a thing to add! I saw @s4hairs mention this post and wanted to give an update on it so people can be aware.

TSR Ad Skipper no longer works to my knowledge. The Website spits back a server error whenever I had it installed! I use this mix of Chrome Extensions and it covers just about everything.

AdBlock Plus - Basic web adblocker extension

UBlock Origin - Same as above

Adguard AdBlocker - Same as above

All those extensions block ads on TSR (and elsewhere), but there’s nothing currently I found that skips the countdown. At least now you can be safe while waiting for it. The rest of my extensions are for protection against Link shorteners and such. There’s no one extension that bypasses all the link shorteners that exist out there so I have a few that manage to catch everything but ouo.io and one other i can’t remember the name of.

adf.ky killer - skips over adfly and similar sites

AdSkipper - catches some of the things adf.ly killer can’t.

Skip Shorte.st ads - for some reason, the above two extensions never caught shortest links. So I downloaded this and now I can bypass them so -shrug-

How to Find Sims3 Blogs

This seems like it’s a difficult thing for some, so here are some tips:

1. Follow a few blogs that reblog or promote other blogs:

~-~*  simblrdirect.tumblr.com/S3D - directory of various creator simblrs for TS3 ~-~*  http://pis3story.tumblr.com - directory of story simblrs for TS3 ~-~*  sims3tutorialhub.tumblr.com - directory of tutorials for TS3 ~-~*  http://sssvitlans.tumblr.com/tagged/s3cc - still the most organized archive of TS3CC I’ve found, even if perhaps not quite as active for TS3 as for TS4. Searching her archive is a great way to find TS3 creators, past and present. ~-~*  sims3decor.tumblr.com - sporadic reblogs of TS3CC ~-~*  http://ninthcirclets3cc.tumblr.com/archive - gothic/dark/lolita etc. TS3CC ~-~*  http://scifits3ccblog.tumblr.com/archive - SciFi/Dystopian etc. TS3CC ~-~*  http://fancifults3cc.tumblr.com/archive - Fantasy/Historical TS3CC ~-~*  http://ktccfinds.tumblr.com - my personal cc side blog

That’s most of the TS3 finds/directory blogs I follow… because I mostly just follow the individual creators these days, but these blogs help me find new creators. Non-creators I mostly find via other blogs I follow - see below.

2. When you download something from a creator off of a CC finds blog… FOLLOW THE CREATOR!

CC finds blogs don’t always re-blog every creation a particular creator releases, and even when they do, it’ll always be slower than simply following the creator themselves.

So go follow your creators, leave some likes on their original posts. It encourages them to continue creating! 

3. Do a tumblr search for the following tags:

~-~* #ts3 #sims3 

Protip: Try different spacings of words in tags or different spellings, ie: ‘#sims 3 #thesims3 #the sims 3′, etc.

4. When a blog you follow posts a WCIF, follow the link…

…even if you’re not interested in that particular item of CC.

I’ve found SO many blogs this way… some active and some not.

5. Take a peek at the notes of posts you particularly like…

…to see who else is leaving likes or comments on their posts.

It’s an excellent way to find fellow simblrs that may have similar tastes to yours.

6. If you find a blog you like that seems inactive… follow it anyways!

I’ve done this a lot and am always delighted when some of those blogs become active again after a while. I’ve gotten to know some awesome simmers this way.

7. Pay attention to the tags on the Simblrs you follow.

Try searching for other blogs that use those same tags. (See step 3.)

8. If you know how to create CC, help others learn, too.

It is SO time-consuming creating tutorials, especially comprehensive step-by-step ones that you record a video for, or take screen captures of, etc. But if you have the time, share your methods of creating content, or just post brief pro-tips once in a while, or a directory of the tutorials you’ve used, or link folks to help forums on TSR & MTS where people’s questions can be answered.

Just spread the info, so that more people can at least get started on making CC. Part of the reason why there are less creators is because the ones that know keep their knowledge to themselves, and when they leave, the information they have leaves with them.

9. Get creative! Start a new gameplay theme!

On the off-chance that you’re feeling bored, or you have a cool idea you’re inspired by, start a community challenge or prompt! End-of-the-year national holidays like Halloween or Xmas don’t need to be the only peak times for simmers to get involved. Things like the What’s In Your Bag challenge are so spontaneous and fun – not only did it promote CC, but it also encouraged simmers to share more about their OCs & worldbuilding, tag each other, and get everyone involved. Come up with something everyone can participate in. Let’s bring back Lookbooks, or even the Sims magazines! O_O (I miss Living Sims & SF Magazine).

10. Leave comments on people’s posts!

Whether it’s CC you’re downloading, or a gameplay post you thought was cool, say something! Hitting the Like button is great, but taking the time to leave words of encouragement goes a long way in keeping some simmers motivated to keep posting, and it helps break the ice and build friendships & make connections. Even if you don’t speak the same language, emojis/emoticons are universal. 👍 😍 ❤️ 😂 👌 🔥 💯 etc.

TS3 has some beautiful furniture, but sadly it seems like it is often the case that our sims’ houses have the appearance of one that was furnished after rather a lot of bumbleleaf and a box set of home makeover shows. With this handy mod, you can banish those tacky stencils for good!

DOWNLOAD THE SIMS 2 UC

A home for forgotten but very loved abandonware

I get a lot of questions about the ultimate collection, and like most I got the UC during the promotion where it was given away for free a coupe of years ago. But, EA has announced they will no longer be giving out the UC. They haven’t supported it in years, or even sold it. So it is officially abandonware, and has found it’s home on oldgamesdownload.com, a trusted website that only uploads abandonware, primarily classic and older games. So no, you do not have to worry about piracy. 

I will not be answering questions, or help with installing, or ‘fixing’ the game to work with win10. Because they have a very handy and straight forward youtube tutorial on how to install the UC, and the internet has a million links (like this one) on how to remedy the graphical issues that win10 users experience.

I also will no longer be answering questions about the UC, since I added all of this to my FAQ page.
