Whatever Matt Stone is doing with Kyle is the opposite of healing your inner child. Giving your inner child AIDS. Putting your inner child in a migrant detention camp. Sewing your inner child into a human centipede. Like whats going on with you man do you need to talk to someone
neil's learned obliviousness
gearing myself up to write another essay about neil josten. the grind never stops. had to figure out why people making neil super clueless and oblivious always rubbed me the wrong way even tho it's technically canon so here it is.
Jeremy knox as that one challengers frame
It’ll be easier if he remains heterosexual.
And it’s Kevin when he saw how Riko was punishing Jean just for looking, how the world treated Jeremy, and how easily it is to slip a perfect plasticy shiny smile for the public. They don’t want truth anyway.
It’s the most optimal option in the mind full of statistics and guilt.
It’s the most safe option because he’s already surrounded by people that would do anything for him and would never betray him, so why leave a safe space.
It’s the most comfortable option because the world doesn’t have to know, they’d twist and spin it, make up theories about them and claim it in the most offensive way, missing out the tenderness and depth of it.
The odds are not in the favour of coming out. Neither is logic.
And still.
Something craves in Kevin when he sees optimistic and genuine Jeremy, that’s politely changed the rules and became a captain of the Golden court; pieced and glued together by a golden powder Jean, with his soft eyes and fierce protectiveness; fearless Neil that would rather endure endless torture and open his arms to the death itself if it means protecting his people; silent and stoical Andrew that wouldn’t budge in the face of the hellhounds if it means to protect his family and promises behind his back.
Maybe not right away. Maybe not even this or the next year. But bit by bit Kevin relaxes. Slowly his mind forget Riko’s voice, not noticing an emptiness of that taunting grating sound, his scars fade away into silvery stripes of lightning, and finally the pliable mask crack in.
Jean choosing to buy blue shirts because blue is Jeremy’s favorite color directly followed by him declaring brown as his favorite color because it’s the color of Jeremy’s eyes is just too much at once. What are you doing to me Nora
I fear Laila and Neil would be an insane duo
andrew did not say a single word to jeremy and then went home and told renee "ayo major twink alerttt"
Jean: Jeremy shouldn’t frown, his face is made for smiling
Jean 1 chapter later: Neil shouldn’t smile, his face is NOT meant for that
AFTG is Well Written: a Masterlist
Many people have said the book series All For The Game by Nora Sakavic is badly written. However, I believe it is not. To prove this, I made a compilation of posts that explain why the books are meticusly crafted and amazingly written.
*disclaimer: I'm not claiming the books are perfect or have no mistakes, it is impossible for any book to be that way, I'm just saying that it's not even half as bad some people claim it to be

um................... can i help you
Okay, I might be pulling this out of my ass but since that finals match was in Evermore that means the foxes should have been wearing their white away jerseys. Which means: the final match was a game of chess.
Not only are they wearing white, but they have first serve (Dan won the coin toss), and near the end the Foxes' king (Neil, because this is a battle between Riko and Neil) changes positions with the tower (Matt, a defenseman that towers over most people) creating the illusion of a castling.
And right there at the end, Riko attempts to kill Neil because they're in front of each other, but that's not how kings work. In the time it takes him to take that step, Andrew closes the gap and strikes. Check mate.
