This is a glove in Freiburg im Briesgau, Germany. To be able to take this photo, I first had to lose my own pair of gloves in Athens. That is how destiny works, and as someone has already heard me say, a tragedy. A Greek tragedy. Oh the irony of life, which in fact is no irony but mere stream of very unfortunate events. I lost my hoodie too while hitchhiking from Munich. I am the protagonist in that intertwined sequence of events. I get out of the car at a Serways gas station and the driver asks “Have you forgotten anything?”; I want to be polite, so polite and respectful that I don't even look back. Trust. I want them to trust me, so I pretend I trust myself knowing that what they bring me is not more than a reflection of what I feel and impart. What they bring, meaning, what actually happens because we made it happen. The hyper-responsible hitchhiker got distracted during that crucial second and slipped. Oh the loss! I lose, you lose, he loses, we love to lose. It's Spring in Baden-Württemberg and it is ok to lose too.

It is more than just a glove and a beanie. The rooms empty of people. The stereotype of the hard working Scandinavian does not quite match. Were the world a reflection of my experiences, then it would be a given fact that those in the South of Europe work harder than those in the North. But it needs not be, because other factors may play its part. Maybe every student has a Macbook air in Sweden and never needs to use the university facilities, or everyone is just such an early bird awake at 6am and never to bed after 10pm. All I know is, if such an opportunity was given elsewhere, this place would be filled with people every single day of the week. And I thank the gods that this is available to me.

Now, not even I can believe this is a real glove but since I usually do not question our correspondents-with-iPhones perceptions of reality this will be considered credible. Sanguinary, belligerent and fluffy - it somehow reminds me of Hugh Hefner's toilet pink carpeting. I know the contrasts are between red and yellow, and I have no real proof to which colours are decorating the aforementioned person's toilet or toilets; yet, it does sound and smell right.
