First, don't say 'Zio' under my post, it's not hard to find that David Duke popularized that term and I will not stand for anyone saying it.
Second, I do agree with you that the examples given were flawed but that's about all I agree with you on. You say you support every Jew or Rabbi who condemns the actions of the Israeli government but you've heard enough in support that assuming every Jewish person you meet supports the actions of the Israeli government to be 'on the safe side', congratulations, you have fallen for propaganda. Netanyahu's approval rating according to Israeli polls is only about from the sources I can find 30% and Netanyahu won the 2022 election with only 23% of parliamentary votes and that could've been a lie, there are almost no reliable sources on the approval and votes for Hitler because historians consider pretty much all of them to have been propaganda and made up. And this still happens today. Recently in Tanzania, the President won her reelection with like 97% of the votes and absolutely no one believed her.
This is like looking at clips of Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro and deciding that all Americans should be treated as Trump supporters to be on the safe side. And in fact, I'm a southerner and I've heard people say that you should assume all southerners are Trump supporters or hillbillies or racist to be on the safe side and all that tells me is that the person saying that doesn't actually know shit about the south, they know what people say about it and it's exhausting to be held responsible for the actions of the worst people around you, no matter how much you disagree and no matter how much you fight against them. I didn't control where I was born and who I was born around, I don't control what people think I control what I do and think and expecting me to act like my worst neighbor just because I happened to be born next door is wrong.
You said you would expect every Muslim to denounce Al Qaeda to trust them and I'd like to see you actually do that. I go to school in a city with a famously high refugee and immigrant population. In a classroom of 25 I can expect to see 3-5 hijabs when I walk in, at least. I taught in a summer theater program specifically for kids in the foster system and refugees, around half the kids were Muslim. Do you have any idea how racist I would look if I went to this people and said "hey, I can't trust you unless you denounce Al Qaeda" if I refused to let someone in the ASL club at my school unless they denounced Al Qaeda or if I refused to be put in a pair for an assignment with a girl in a hijab unless she denounced Al Qaeda. Do you have any idea how demoralizing and crushing it would be for my teenage students if they found out I don't trust any of them or their families because I haven't heard them say they denounce Al Qaeda when these girls are already having hard enough lives? By the way, I'd be fired on the fucking spot if I said that to someone.
And you said that you expect every German to jump in front of a bullet for a Jew and you expect every Israeli to jump in front of a bullet for a Palestinian. What about the ones who did? There was endless documentation of Germans helping Jews, keeping them safe and breaking them out of camps, and there was also documentation of Germans being Nazis but do you think it's fair to the people who put their lives on the line in Nazi Germany and fair to the people putting their lives on the live in Israel to tell them that you can't trust them because of where they're from. And, every country pretty much has committed atrocities, if you're American, how many bullets shot by ICE have you jumped in front of?
And you say that you'd hold Muslims to the same (frankly unreasonable) standard as Jews, okay sure, are you going to assume every Chinese person you meet supports the killing of Uyghurs, are you going to assume every Buddhist you meet supports the actions of Myanmar? Would you tell every Chinese person you meet that you can't trust them unless they start by saying they don't support the actions of the CCP, even if that person has lived in America their whole life and has absolutely no ties to China beyond their parents being Chinese, even if, for all you know, they're an immigrant who left China because of the CCP, even if for all you know they were kicked out of the country for fighting against the CCP?
Assuming the worst in people is a bad thing, especially when you're making those assumptions based on where they were born or what their government says, what the loudest influencers say, or even just how they were raised because a person cannot control any of that. I learned this lesson when I was 15 and I assumed by brother's girlfriend was gonna be homophobic because she's Catholic and grew up in a Catholic country where it's illegal to be gay but she is one of the kindest and most supportive people I have ever met, she marches in pride parades and is openly supportive of pretty much everything the Catholic Church is against because she is a good person and that experience taught me that assuming the worst in someone because if the circumstances they were born in - something they are completely unable to control is wrong and I don't assume every Christian I meet is homophobic, I don't assume anyone I meet is homophobic, really, because I have met enough people from enough walks of life and enough cultures I was told to be wary of to know that people are not defined by the circumstances of their birth and judging them accordingly is wrong.
