Why do I love you so much, even still?
And I often wonder, do you still remember me?
The days we spent, the dreams we shared, do I ever cross your mind anymore?

Life
I'm stuck in my own fairy tale, reality is like a dream and I'm only awake in my imagination.
Growing up is weird. I wish I could be four again.
Classic vehicles are appealing to a variety of people for many of the same reasons. These vehicles bring people together from all over and create such a diverse family. From little girls and boys to men and women in their nineties, you will see every type of person when going to a car show. Here are only some of the very few classic vehicles that are around the local area... and the owners range from young men and women to old men and women.
Larry Newport, pictured in the first image, tells me of his grandson at one of his earliest shows. Larry is in his early 70's and has now been working on cars his whole life. From rat rods, corvettes mustangs Chevrolet trucks and more, he has done it all and is still going. He is the owner of Pop's Garage in Lebanon, Oregon on the corner of 2nd and Maple. Recently he took an old street car and restored it from the ground up for his wife, putting about $20,000 into it. He put his own engine in it, as well as converting it to automatic power steering and power breaks. In my photograph, Larry is telling me of his grandson who is nine in the picture that he is showing me. His grandson is now about to graduate high school. Larry has built cars for his wife, eight children and now his grand children.
Randy Dale is the 56 year old owner of a '63 Ford Fairline. Being a memorial to his high school Ford Galaxy, he has owned the car for about 3 years now and is excited to drive it around during his retired years. In total he has only spent about $7,000 on his vehicle and it is now in almost perfect condition.
This yellow '79 MGB has been in Steve Kolseth's possession for about five years now. Steve, now age seventy, happened to find this at an OSU auction all those years ago. Although he didn't buy it there, he kept his eye on ebay and when he happened to see it on there, he knew it was his. He loves driving this car around, rain or shine, and also has a motorcycle that he likes to ride.
Kristie Harris is a 25 year old classic car fanatic. She has been working on vehicles for many years now and has also been attending car shows. This summer she will for sure be attending an all girls car show with her flat black '48 Ford F100, which she restored with only a little help from her father. With no air and no heat, this truck is definitely a classic. She wanted to keep it in its original state.. she is even about to take the radio out. "The truck is too loud, you can't even hear it anyways." This truck has a funny story. The family owned this vehicle when she was young and decided to sell it.. ten years later they bought it back. At this time she was looking for her own vehicle and the family's old truck was the perfect option.. the only problem was that it was ugly. Her condition was that she got to paint it... and that she did. She even hand sanded it herself.
I myself, currently 19, own a '79 Ford F100 that I am slowly repairing with the help of a few close friends. Being my first vehicle, it is a work in progress and a learning experience. Eventually I want to be able to do this without the help of others though. I have been restoring my truck piece by piece for a little less than a year and will probably have to spend over a thousand on it for it to be in great condition... however that is a lot better than twenty thousand. Classic vehicles have fascinated me since I was young.. this truck is only a small step to learning more about something I have always wanted to do: restore my own vehicles.

3rd street is a busy street in Corvallis, Oregon. Even on a rainy day you can find people walking down the streets and visiting the shops that are located here, or riding their bikes to get from one place to the next. Citizens Bank is a prominent building on 3rd street, located close to Dairy Queen and Block 15. Other popular stores include Northern Star, Many Hands Trading Company and Footwise, a shoe store and certified Birkenstock repair store. Aurelia Jorgensen (top) has been working at Footwise now for about six and a half years. Starting up front as a shoe salesperson, she slowly worked her way up and after five years was able to start repairing the shoes that she sold. She has now been repairing shoes for a year and a half and loves it.
