Rebirth. I got hit with a lot of feelings about Grace leaving Earth to die and never coming back, but living on somewhere else. This is what I did with that. I had a lot of fun adding little Eridian details to his outfit. I think that embroidery would be pretty big on Erid, since they'd be able to be hear the textures, which is why Grace has some little amateur embroideries on his shirt. He picked it up. He's working on it. He's also got some embroidered and woven mending going on, and new xenonite glasses frames. And a chip of Rocky's carapace as a pendant, of course.

I finished a little something!

This fic is generally post canon to the movies, and follows the ordeal of discovering, saving, and severing Simon from AT-5 (and saving Grace in the process).

I’ll have more to share in the form of a secondary fic that develops Simon/Grace/Rocky/Adrian relationships, but the main story-driven fic is done.

Here’s a teaser:

He lunges toward the thing and it sweeps away, shrieking. The computer jumbles the next few words but manages: “Stop!… Here to help! … Grace…!”

The two of them tumble into the corridor, where Simon pins the thing's legs beneath his knees. He is moments from bringing the wrench down into its shell when a hand catches his own.

“Whoa there!”

His angel is standing over them both, one hand braced on the creature, the other holding Simon’s still.

For those wondering about the fox. Grace has a subtle motif with this animal throughout the movie, but especially this shot where they pack this toy fox with his belongings on the Hail Mary. I haven't seen anyone talking about this and just wanted to make a quick post on here.

Akihiro Miwa recently passed away peacefully june 20th, and was not only a drag queen and a queer icon, but also the japanese voice of Arceus in the movie Arceus and the jewel of life, as well as the witch from Howl's moving castle and Moro from Princess Mononke.

Rest in peace and thank you for the wonderfull impact you made in this world.
