Doomed siblings have me on a chokehold in a way no trope can ever achieve. Something so gut wrenchingly beautiful about two kids going through unimaginable trauma and coming out damaged forever. I always eat it up. Maybe they stay together and find solace only in each other, used and kicked out by society! Maybe they end up on opposite sides of the war! Maybe they end up betraying one another! Maybe one of them dies haunting the narrative forever! Maybe one of them destroys the world for the other! So many endless tragic possibilities!

CALAMUS

they/he, known only by the pseudonym "Calamus" by Heliozoa

Relationship: creator/parent of Heliozoa

Description: Tiefling, 5' 9", ??? years old (time is weird in the Astral Sea)

Current Story: Calamus is a member of the secretive group, the Radiant Star, and works on the lab / astral space station called the Cathedral. They created their plasmoid daughter, Heliozoa, to help out around the station, raising her on romance novels and medical experimentation, as any good father must. Heliozoa has not seen him since her unplanned escape from the Cathedral with the aid of the angel he had worked years to capture. While his current objectives are unknown to Zoa, the Astral Seekers have since discovered that Calamus, and the Radiant Star, work closely with the Xaryxian Empire who threaten the planets and inhabitants of Dyadspace.

NEMEO BEABAGOODFLY

he/him, nicknamed Nogg by his sister (to his great disgust)

Relationship: older brother of Thebe

Description: Fairy, 4' 0", 28 years old

Current Story: Nemeo "Nogg" Beabagoodfly is a proud (and arrogant) warrior who serves as a guardian of the Feywild city of Therisel, where he and Thebe grew up. He travels the veils between the Material Plane and its echoes, keeping monsters and aberrant foes at bay. He also has inherited the blessing (and curse) of the Beabagoodfly family in which he a chosen protector of the spirit, the Starry Pythia. He must uphold his family's objective to keep the Pythia safely bound in the Material Plane. Nemeo steadfastly believes that returning the Pythia to the Astral Sea would ultimately destroy her, putting him at odds with his younger sister, Thebe, who is determined to set her free.

Current Story: As the CEO of Araceli Incorporated, Mr. Areius Araceli is running one of the most successful businesses the world has ever seen. The source of his fortune, however, stems from his proprietary development and mass production of cloning technology, specifically of air genasi, to create spelljamming tools and weaponry that have become integral to the space-faring industry. He will go to great lengths to keep his capitalist empire thriving, and the secrets of its success hidden from the public.

MISTRAL DECEM ARACELI

she/her

Relationship: estranged twin sister of Zeph

Description: Air Genasi, 5' 7", 25 years old

Current Story: After being abandoned by her twin brother on the moon, Cheira, she went searching for him but instead found the one known as Areius Araceli, who took her in and taught her how to fight back. She learned about the business, and the secrets that kept Araceli Incorporated profitable. Uncle Areius assigns to her the role of "Procurement Specialist", with the key objective being to subdue her twin brother's attempts at disclosing the trade secrets of the company. In her desperate attempts to prove she can be her own person, independent of her coward of a brother, she is finding the limits of what magic her unstable clone body can handle.
