🌹When I found this book over a year ago, I finally felt like I found the voice I'd been looking for in the literary world. Elizabeth Ellen seduces with her narcissism and intoxicates with her experimental prose. Incredible in its style alone, Person/a blurs the lines between fact and fiction, obsession and love. This is undoubtedly one of the best books I've ever read. 🍐@gabrielawiener is the Peruvian Carrie Bradshaw only about a thousand times more daring and introspective. The topics she explores are Vice-worthy (and sex/gender inclusive) but without the exploitation or cheap shock value. I deeply admire her ethics as a journalist because she refuses to examine others' lives in a removed or self-superior way, causing her own life to be transformed through her interactions. Compelling, sexy, and dark, each chapter is a genre-bending and brilliant new discovery about sexuality and humanity. 🍐This is also my staff pick at @strandbookstore & she'll be coming to the store in October!!! I haven't been doing these as much cus social media is hard to do when you do it at work all day 🙃🙃. Women by Chloe Caldwell is a lesbian novella I finished very quickly and liked instantly. You'll feel like you're having some kind of dalliance with the book because it's so immediate and entangling, sensuous and obsessive. Read it in your room with your hitachi very close 🎀💅🏻. It's probably weird that I'm naked with this book because I have taken Chloe's writing classes, and she's gonna see this, but whatever. Sorry, Chloe! P.S.
