These adorable Snowmen Cookies are perfect for the winter season and holiday celebrations. They are soft, buttery, and fun to decorate with kids!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mini chocolate chips. Mini M&M candies. Orange icing.
Instructions: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Divide the dough into two parts, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Using snowman-shaped cookie cutters, cut out the snowmen and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once the cookies are cooled, use mini chocolate chips to create the snowmen's eyes and mouth. Place a mini M&M candy for the snowmen's nose. Using orange icing, pipe a small triangular shape just below the M&M nose to complete the snowmen's face. Decorate the snowmen with any additional icing or candies as desired. Let the icing set before serving or storing the cookies in an airtight container.
