to anyone who wants to watch the mitchells vs. the machines & is prone to flashing lights: PLEASE be careful. this movie is incredibly good but it does have a lot of segments that involve strobing lights and bright colors that may be hard to watch if youāre photosensitive. if youāre going to watch it and you struggle w those issues look out for any fight scenes/scenes involving the robots because those are where they tend to pop up the most. again this movie is REALLY good but if youāre going to watch it, be aware that it involves a lot of flashing lights and be on the watch for those scenes in particular

Update: turns out the "berating" was apart of the previously agreed upon lesson plan revolving around role playing debate skills (he had 7 uninterrupted minutes of speech, this was in the question and answer portion, most college students could tell you is normal) that the student knew about before hand.
Ellis then took this completely out of context clip and ran to Conservative Grievance Circlejerk Media (Daily Caller, NY Post, Daily Mail, ect) to slander this professor to the point that she and her coworkers are now receiving death threats from unhinged reactionaries.
Also Ellis is known for making white supremacist gestures and harassing racial and sexual minority students on campus
In conclusion, if you sided with this kid over what was (if you watched the video) a perfectly normal debate exchange with a professor, then you might have some self-examination to take part in.

Since John Mulaney is getting divorced after becoming sober, I feel now is the time to tell people that
A) Often when someone gets sober they become a different person. This is because they didnāt just have to change the drinking and drugs parts, they had to change everything to make it so that the sobriety would stick. They change in the sense that they have to get rid of all the negative voices in their head, and once they get rid of them, they have time to actually be themselves. Theyāre not fighting all these demons anymore. They have to figure out what makes them truly happy. And often what makes them happy isnāt what made them happy before.
B) Just because theyāre getting divorced doesnāt mean their love wasnāt real. It just means that it faded. Or morphed. Or is still there but doesnāt work in a sense of a marriage anymore. You canāt marry everyone you love. You just canāt. Because marriage is more than just love, itās also support, friendship, and whatever else the both of you need it to be. And sometimes the love just isnāt enough. So they really did love each other, but they might just not be compatible partners anymore.
C) None of this is really our business. Theyāre real people, with emotions and thoughts. They donāt need the entire internet commenting about how āLove is Deadā, because they both need to move on, and thatās not going to help them. Itās just going to make the pain worse. So if you want to be a decent person, keep your melodrama to yourself.
