@hawkinslostandfoundâ âą cooper kinsley // âGuess whoâs terrible at processing emotions? This guy!â
âthatâs pretty much a family trait. so what make this time special?â buck was more understanding than anyone else in the family might be, always willing to be a listening ear, especially when it came to the younger kinsley. âsomething happen in particular or are you just realizing your fate as a kinsley?â
coop sighed deeply, staring up at buck with an unamused expression. âthe family curse, you mean?â he said, brow stitched together. ânah. nothing happened. i just... iâm a fuckinâ mess, and i donât know what to do about it.â having been a popular kid in high school hadnât translated into adulthood, and he was having a hard time adjusting. âhow do you become effortlessly cool? like, how do you just go through life the way you do? iâm ready for a lesson.â
sugarfmâ:
no. it never had been a fair fight. buck would say no and elijah would pull out those eyes, and inevitably get whatever it was he wanted out of the man. for as much as buck looked gruff and intimidating, the people closest to him knew the truth. the man was a pushover, a stalking, muscular teddy bear. âdonâtâŠdonât do that.â buck frowned, his eyes raking over a familiar face before he groaned, a hand rubbing over his scruffy face before he nodded, âfine.â he gave in with a dramatic sigh before he shook his head, more for show than anything else. they both know if elijah asked, buck would give. it was as simple as that. âi get to pick out my own pants? like a big boy?â he teased before rolling his eyes, âwe both know that would be a mistake.â
donât do that. it didnât stop eli from adding a little pout to the mix. he liked watching the way buck slowly dissolved into putty for him. elijahâs face morphed into a grin, cheeks dimpling deeply as he threw his arms around the other man, burying his face in buckâs neck to give him an appreciative series of kisses there. âthank you, i knew you wouldnât make me go alone. you never let me down.â he squeezed the manâs forearms, twice -- just because -- and stepped back just a little so he could appreciate him. âyeah, you can pick out your own pants, but donât wear shirts condoning drugs or faulting religion. i donât feel like being hatecrimed this year, okay?â
@notyourbrochachoâ continued from x
He hadnât meant for it to slip out of his mouth, but it had, and he was left looking up at her with wide eyes, his expression slowly shifting into a sheepish sort of grin. âI mean, yeah, youâre not wrong about that. Thanks.â He said as she refilled his mug, he brought it to his lips and took a little sip of the bitter liquid. âYou guys always this slow this time of night?â
@hawkinslostandfoundâ // liked for a starter from #greencore ⹠buck kinsley
âno. absolutely not.â buck was quick as he looked over at eli, his eyes betraying him when he caught the otherâs gaze. he absolutely hated professional social events. he wasnât like elijah, no formal education to speak of, heâd dropped out before he hit junior year and hadnât looked back. everything had worked out for him, but he didnât like to be around too many virtuosos all at one time. and a dinner party with all teachers seemed like itâs own sort of living hell. âdonât make me go. and let me guessâŠthereâs a dress code?â he groaned, already picturing the way heâd look, stuffy and stupid in a button up shirt that elijah would no doubt pick out for him, since he apparently couldnât be trusted to dress himself. the things one did for love.Â
elijah blinked slowly as buck refuted him, cocking his head a little to the side as he tried to decide how to respond. no, absolutely not just would not do. he had to keep up appearances, didnât he? and there was no one else heâd rather take with him to the little dinner party than buck kinsley. âi suppose i could go by myself.â eli said, but he was looking at the other man with his best puppy-dog expression. âeveryone else will have someone with them, but itâs okay -- iâll just sit there and be the odd duck out. how fitting.â maybe he was using a little bit of a manipulative tactic, but there was only one person on the planet eli knew how to persuade. âwe can make a compromise? and iâll even let you pick out your own clothes.â

I will never understand people who say Jason's anger towards Eddie was justified, but Billy's anger towards Steve wasn't...
jason is literally just a normal guyâąïž who has normal beliefs. everyone knows a jason carver. stop being lil baby bitches >:[
@warmthbledâ said ->Â â Â you have no idea what youâve gotten yourself into. Â â
Eli stares at her with his mouth slightly agape, using his index finger to push up his glasses then both hands to push up his sleeves -- a habit -- before leaning on his desk as he looks at the transfer student.
âAnd what would make you say that?â
eddiebanishedâ:
Eddie heard the voice come from outside his trailer, browns flicking to the door before moving to push off the couch. He walked over to the window above the TV and leaned to look out through the blinds. He spotted Jason, alone, but Jason nonetheless. He sighed, cursing a bit under his breath and exhaling a breath. He knew what this was about. At least he figured it was about Chrissy, but how the fuck had Jason found out theyâd hung out at his trailer? Did he find Chrissyâs stash? Fuck. This wasnât good.
He moved towards the door of the trailer and popped it open, the hinges creaking and giving the door a shake. His lips wetted by his tongue as he stepped out onto the stoop of the steps. He looked down at where Jason was stood a bit off from them, looking him over and readjusting his grip on the door.Â
âI really donât have a clue why youâre here and what I have to face you over, but itâs Spring Break. Canât I catch⊠I donât⊠a break?â
Jason clenched and unclenched his fists as he waited impatiently for Eddie to come out and face him. Part of Jason didnât believe Eddie would have the balls to actually come to the door -- but then there he was. It was like the gas burner had been clicking and then the flame erupted. It was all Jason could do to not bum-rush the rickety steps and drag Eddie down by his hair.
âDonât you know better than to step out of your league?â He asked, his eyes like thunderous skies. âYouâre a two-time flunkey. Keep your hands on your little dragon toys and off my girlfriend, you hear me?â

She was on a high - a headrush instead of an actual one this time - as she walked back from hers and Eddieâs little spot in the woods. She had been spending a couple of days a week out there, making an excuse that she was stopping by Mrs. Kelleyâs office before her afternoon classes. Instead of a right turn into the building where her classes were, she always took a left, down the concrete steps and across the field to the path in the woods that was so narrow that most students at Hawkins High didnât even know it existed.
She had arrived back from the woods in time for the hallways to be full of everyone at their locks, feeling a tightness and twist of guilt in her chest when she saw her boyfriend leaning against the locker next to hers. He had a look of impatience in his eye, and his tone was dripping with disapproval.
âI told you. I meet with Mrs. Kelley on Thursdays,â she insisted quietly as she turned to start twisting the dial on her lock. She glanced over at him, brow knitting and a light frown tugging at her lips. âWhatâs wrong?â
Chrissy didnât belong to him, but that didnât stop Jason from believing they belonged together. Blonde, beautiful, athletic -- it was like a match made in heaven, at least if you asked Jason. And he loved her, he really did, which was why he kept such a close eye on her. Lately, it felt like she had been pulling away, and Jason didnât know what to do with that.
Heâd gone to Mrs. Kelley, to check on her -- to see if sheâd needed his support, but Mrs. Kelley had no idea what Jason was talking about when he asked if he was early, if she should be expecting Chrissy soon. So, what had she been up to?
He wet his lips, clenching his jaw for just a moment before offering her a sharklike smile. âChrissy... you werent with Mrs. Kelley. Why are you lying?â
@rickliptonâ
Heâs been here a thousand and one times before, thatâs why Elijah doesnât hesitate to push through the door he knows is going to be open. It bothers him a little, the fact that none of Rickâs furniture matches, but he figures it suits the man. He sets his satchel down on the table, âBuck told me to bring this buy.â He lifts the flap and pulls out a brick of something wrapped several times over and covered in duct tape. âItâs from San Diego.â
@eddiebanishedâ
âEventually, youâre going to have to come out and face me.â
