“still, she sounds kind of scary if you ask me. and that’s coming from a girl with an infamous mum. she already wants you to get married? isn’t that a little soon?”

       “To marry? Yes. To seek for suitors? No, I’m just at the right age.” Zipporah laughed. It was most probable her mother would search for someone in Beauxbatons or Durmstrang for that purpose. Sending her away before letting her do something disastrous in Great Britain sure seemed like a wise decision.

“your mum sounds like someone i wouldnt want to run into. she might lose her mind if she hears of me sleeping while i could be getting ahead. they waste no time in passing out work.”

       “Nah, she doesn’t bother looking down at strangers. All she cares about is I’m Top Quality for whoever she chooses to be her son in law. Not like I’m gonna abide by that in any case.”

Harper smiled at the girl’s words. Most people would’ve told her to shut up by now, but maybe it took more to annoy her. “I’ll try not to, but maybe I should learn how to handle alcohol,” she admitted with a laugh. If not for her sake then for everyone else’s. She didn’t want to be that person who needed to be walked back to her room every time she went to a party. 

“It could’ve been laced… it’s hard to tell, really,” she replied, trying to remember what had happened. “All I know is that a seventh year who I have never met offered it to me. And I know it’s not a good idea to take drinks from strangers, but I also wasn’t thinking about the consequences at that time.” 

        “It’s never a good idea to accept anything the upperclassmen give you. Everyone below their year is a perfectly fine guinea pig, although, that depends on who it is, I suppose.” Zipporah dismissed. She never did like dealing with the older people, if only because she didn’t have enough time to get to know them properly, much less to willingly become a target for their shenanigans. “It really doesn’t sound like it was fine and plain alcohol. You got played, dear.”

     Miles stepped back from the table, his arms raised in surrender. “Better you than me, princess. Either your eyebrows are gone or we’ll fail. Either way, I’m not gonna be any help.”

       “See, it wasn’t my idea to have this inter-course assignments. God knows why the Professor thought this was a good idea, but let’s face it, sweetheart, my eyebrows are prettier than yours and would be a greater loss to the world. I’ll buy you dinner. Just throw this leaf in there, please. Seriously.” She pushed him, half shielding herself behind him.

“The last time I had firewhisky I ran around the castle telling everyone I saw fun facts about their houses, and then I saw this couple holding hands and I started actually crying, and when they asked me what was wrong, I said ‘I’m just so happy for you!’ And then I realized that I had an assignment to turn in that was due in half an hour, so I wobbled on over to the library and in my drunken state completed the whole assignment- which was probably one of my proudest moments, mind you-” Harper paused to take a breath. “And I turned it in to my professor just in time! And I didn’t get in trouble.” Finishing her story, she had almost forgotten the point of it all. “Uh– yeah, that’s why I’m taking a break from firewhisky.” 

       Zipporah barely even made an attempt to follow everything Harper was saying. If anything because she was feeling tipsy already. Needless to say she wasn’t drinking any firewhiskey if only because... well, just like the other girl described, it did no good in someone with low tolerance. She had to think long and hard before saying something; she wasn’t even sure if she had to say something to all that but... 

        “Harper, do me a favor and never change.” With that, she downed the remainder of her glass. Just plain soda... for now. The minute a party was announced for whatever reason, soda would be thrown out of the window. “Are you sure that firewhiskey wasn’t laced with Felix Felicis? Because that sounds a hell of a lot like Felix Felicis.”

       “I would love to say I absolutely know what I’m doing? But uh... I’m not adding anything else to that cauldron myself. It looks like it’s about to explode. If you want your eyebrows gone, it’s your call,”

vivparkinson:

“you can’t tell me you’ve never napped in the middle of the day. it’s not easy, that’s for sure.”

        “When I was six. You know, mom says the time normal people waste sleeping I must use to further... make myself desirable. Makes no sense, but now I can’t sleep during the day. The year is just starting. They seriously can’t have given you that much of a workload already.“

“it’s a perfect time to take a nap. now that you mention it i will pay you in ice cream and hope that you share. astronomy.”

      “Viv, seriously. It’s NOON. Only toddlers are sleeping right now, sweets. Please don’t tell me seventh year is that hard?”

vivparkinson:

“i will pay you in cauldron cakes if you just let me nap here.” 

       “It’s barely noon. Not to mention those things have a super high calorie count that I’d rather spend eating ice cream. What happened to you?”

Introducing lady number III:

( CAMILA MENDES ) ⤬ There goes ZIPPORAH ROWLE. I hear they’re SIXTEEN, a SIXTH YEAR. Would you believe SHE really is a SLYTHERIN? At least, I’ve heard they’re WELL-MANNERED and EMPATHETIC, but they also seem somewhat VISCERAL and VENGATIVE. For a PUREBLOOD, I think they’re alright, but you never know.

Heiress to the Rowle fortune, she’s expected to find and marry a good prospect, but joke’s on her parents, ‘cause she intends to do everything but that, and the more she fucks the Rowle’s legacy, the better. 

She’s very well aware of her family’s past as death eaters and bigotry supporters. Which is why she does everything in her power to differentiate and distance herself from them... unless when it’s convenient for her. 

She knows that it’s wrong to get things from a last name, her riches and her family’s reputation, but she still does. She might as well before she succeeds in having them disown her.

Zipporah disdains men in her own “league” without even as much as looking at them twice. Firstly, because they’re usually trash, second, because she likes simpler guys that are chill and not entitled, and third... she might actually dig girls too. 

Smol murdering machine if needed. Can also flirt to get what she wants because life’s been that easy to her.
