Managed to place 3rd in the Yamasaki Open for blue belts -76kg. Won my first fight by 4-0 but loss the second one by 4-4 and 1-2 in advantages. Stockholm Open Champion -82,3 kg!! My first gold, but definitely not my last! :D Also took bronze in the open weight! Really well run and fun tournament! I already feel that I could have performed even better and pushed myself more, but for next time! That's why I love competing, you learn so much about yourself and get to dig deep and really see what you are made of. It's a physical but more than anything an extremely mental game when competing. I'm growing each and every time and I feel the improvements daily on the mat as well! Chocolate granola 🔝 Mix gluten-free or regular oats, flax, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, buckwheat, shredded coconut, 2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder and stir it all together. Then add liquid; oil of choice, honey and water. Then place it all on a baking tray and bake in oven for around 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. My quick and easy lunch, which I made twice already this week. Egg omelet (3-4 eggs) with some pink Himalayan salt, pepper, garlic and ginger powder + Asparagus, both cooked in coconut oil. Simple avocado and cucumber salad, seasoned with light soy sauce, pepper, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Tapioca pancake with raw 5 seed, almond hemp and peanut butter drizzled with honey on top. This gives me a great amount of energy and includes carbs, good fats, proteins, vitamins, fibres and antioxidants which will get me ready between workouts. Great day at the IBJJF Gothenburg International Open, I got 6 matches, 3 wins 3 losses. 2 finishes by rear naked choke and 1 decision. Lost 2 matches by advantages and 1 by guillotine choke. This resulted in a bronze medal in the No GI middle weight division, -82,3 kg. I lost in the quarter finals of blue belt absolute in No GI and weight class in GI. First time in this new weight division and I felt pretty good about it but I need to work on some more stuff obviously. I'm super grateful for my family and friends for all the support and love you give me and I wouldn't be where I am today without my team #vivazapatabjj and my awesome professor @waldozapata Big shout out also to my buddy @anoshcomedian for taking me in and showing me a great time in Gothenburg!
