An overload of radiation, or too much pumpkin spice? You make the call.
I always have fun when making art, but the level of joy and excitement this piece kept giving me is something I haven't felt in a while. I was partially inspired by some fun sketches that Shinji Nishikawa drew in the past few years (such as a pumpkin Biollante and Mecha-King Ghidorah), and I gave it thought that there really isn't a whole lot of Halloween-themed Godzilla merch out there. I mean, of course there are Halloween costumes, but nothing like novelty figures like...well, THIS.
Regardless, this piece was tons of fun. I was originally not going to add the smoke effects, but I'm so glad I did. I thought it'd make the piece too busy, but it turned out so well.
